The conservative Heritage Foundation ranks Michele Bachmann as the 9th most conservative member of the House or Senate.
Heritage Action’s legislative scorecard currently encompasses 30 votes and 5 co-sponsorship scores in the House and 19 votes and 4 co-sponsorship scores in the Senate.
The votes cover the full spectrum of conservatism, and include legislative action on issues both large and small.
Check out their guide. It’s a pretty handy tool. You can see what Heritage wanted on a particular vote and how the member actually voted.
Jim DeMint, unsurprisingly, was first, earning a 99% score from Heritage (Bachmann got 94%).
Marco Rubio and Rand Paul were close behind, at 93%. Interestingly, Orrin Hatch picked up a primary-friendly 93%, as well.
As for former, possible candidate Mike Pence? Just 81%.
Paul Ryan? 78%, which tied him with Lindsey Graham. Heritage didn’t like Ryan on the debt limit, on alleged-”kicking the can” support for appropriations funding the government through April 2011, and a variety of other measures.
And what did Romney grow? RomneyCare!, which is a massive government entitlements regime that became the policy basis of ObamaCare, only RomneyCare has a public option so it is more progressive than ObamaCare? Did you know that RomneyCare has failed to deliver either universal coverage or control costs, its 2 primary goals? Did you know that taxpayers are still charged for uncovered emergency room visits, and to provide coverage or generous subsidies for those who qualify through Network Health and other programs?
It’s a shame what Romney has done to this country in just one unremarkable term as a failed governor. Just a shame.
AUSTIN – A committee supporting Michele Bachmann has released a blatantly false ad that completely misrepresents Gov. Perry’s fiscally conservative record in Texas.
“Gov. Perry is a proven fiscal conservative, having cut taxes, signed six balanced budgets, and led Texas to become America’s top job-creating state,” said Ray Sullivan, RickPerry.org’s communications director. “Congresswoman Bachmann’s front-group ad is patently and provably false. Unlike Washington, the Texas budget is balanced, does not run deficits and limits spending, even as Texas added jobs and population in big numbers.”
FALSE CLAIM: “Rick Perry doubled spending in a decade.”
TRUTH: State spending – the non-federal dollars state lawmakers can control – is six percent lower under Gov. Perry than it was under the two-year budget in effect when he took office, adjusting for population growth and inflation. In unadjusted amounts, state spending is $80.5 billion for the 2012-13 biennium compared to $55.7 billion for the 2000-01 biennium. Texas’ population growth plus inflation since 2001 is 54 percent. The current Texas budget funds the state’s vital needs by operating within available revenues and providing tax cuts for small businesses. Gov. Perry is the only Texas governor since World War II to cut state (general revenue) spending.
FALSE CLAIM: “This year, Rick Perry is spending more money than the state takes in.”
TRUTH: Texas’ budget has been certified as balanced by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, with an estimated $6.5 billion remaining unspent in the state’s Rainy Day Fund. Every budget Gov. Perry has signed has been balanced.
FALSE CLAIM: “Covering his deficits with record borrowing.”
TRUTH: Texas does not have a deficit. The state’s recent sale of Tax and Revenue Anticipation Notes (TRANs) is cash-flow management tool that dates back to 1987. These notes are sold every fiscal year to manage cash flow and to provide up-front payments to public schools. They are repaid within the fiscal year with tax revenue that comes in after the upfront school payments are made. Texas earned the highest possible ratings in anticipation of this offering, receiving a rating of SP-1+ by Standard & Poor’s, MIG 1 by Moody’s Investors Service and F1+ by Fitch Inc. Texas’ net interest rate of .27 percent is down from last year’s rate of .34 percent, representing the state’s lowest net rate ever for these notes.

246 – Yeah. And in 1989 Perry became a Republican and has been pro-life for a quarter century all throughout his political career.
Contrast that with Willard who was pro-choice as recently as the early 2000?s.
Rombots aren’t going to win this argument. So even try?
QUOTE:
Mitt Romney, the former Republican governor of Massachusetts, was a registered independent until age 46, and voted in the 1992 Democratic primary. He said he voted Democratic because a) George H.W. Bush was a cinch in the GOP primary; b) among Democrats, he preferred Paul Tsongas over Bill Clinton; and c) Tsongas was a fellow Massachusettsian. But he said years later that his aim was to “vote for the person who I thought would be the weakest opponent for the Republican.” Romney officially joined the GOP in 1993.
QUOTE:
Rick Perry, now Texas’ Republican governor, was a Democratic member of the state House for six years and served as Texas campaign chairman for Al Gore’s presidential bid in 1988. But even as a Democrat, he was conservative — so much so that one publication called him the “Benedict Arnold of the Democratic Party” because he frequently sided with Republican Gov. Bill Clements. Perry switched to the GOP in 1989, at age 39, and won statewide office as agriculture commissioner.
“There’s one particular candidate who’s created jobs all around the world — (But) while he was governor of Massachusetts he didn’t create very many jobs.”
- Governor Rick Perry at Rep. Scott’s presidential forum
Just as Governor Perry’s Texas has created more private sector jobs since 2009 than the rest of the states COMBINED — he is also polling with a higher number than Romney, Cain, Santorum, Huntsman, and Gingrich COMBINED by four points — per Politico.
Mitt Romney, the former Republican governor of Massachusetts, was a registered independent until age 46, and voted in the 1992 Democratic primary.
Perry’s national press secretary, issued the following statement on Mitt Romney’s jobs speech:
As Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney failed to create a pro-jobs environment and failed to institute many of the reforms he now claims to support.
Among all the candidates for President, Gov. Rick Perry has the strongest record of creating a climate of job creation by limiting taxes, burdensome regulations and the size and scope of government. Gov. Perry’s conservative leadership helped Texans create 40 percent of all the net new jobs created in America since June 2009. While President Obama has failed our economy, Gov. Perry has the strongest pro-jobs record and best philosophy to get America working again.
With Perry as governor, how does education in Texas really compare with other states?
Well, here’s one example: On August 18, 2011, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan attacked the performance of Texas schools, and therefore indirectly, Governor Perry. The only problem is … Texas schools do markedly better than the Chicago school district that Duncan actually ran as CEO of Chicago Public Schools. Here’s a link to Duncan’s tirade.
Duncan actually referenced a “massive increases in class size in Texas” during Rick Perry’s time in the governor’s office. But, class sizes actually went down. Duncan didn’t even bother to check his “facts” before blasting Texas (and Perry). Everything you ever wanted to know about Texas schools is available here on Texas Education Association’s website. Duncan could have saved himself some embarrassment if he had checked his “facts” first.
The obvious political purpose was to attack a Republican challenger to his boss, which, if he is defeated, would put Duncan out of work. Dallas Morning News’ editorial writer Rodger Jones offers another motive: Perry’s refusal to join Duncan’s Race to the Top. Perry balked at the program as part of his general opposition to federal interference in state jurisdiction, which Jones calls “political,” but offers it as a reason that Duncan would want to make Texas’ education efforts look deficient. But included in Jones’ expose of Duncan’s charges, there is more – for instance:
Texas is ranked 13th in Education Week’s Quality Counts report. Quality Counts gave Texas an “A” in “Standards, Assessment and Accountability,” and an “A” in “Transitions and Alignment” of the Texas system with college and career readiness.
In 2009, Texas ranked 7th in a 26 state comparison of the only states reporting four-year on-time graduation rates. That year Texas’ on-time graduation rate was 80.6%. The Texas on-time graduation rate for 2010 is now 84.3%, an amazing 3.7 percentage point increase in a single year on the dropout indicator.
The Texas class of 2011 posted a record-high math score on the ACT college entrance exam. The Texas average math score was 21.5 and was higher than the national average of 21.1.

After an appearance in Newton, Iowa today, Rick Perry denied to an unidentified woman that he’d ever supported the 2008 bank bailout known as TARP.
“No Ma’am,” he told her.
“I thought I saw a letter where you had written encouraging the support of TARP legislation,” he persisted.
“You saw wrong,” he replied flatly, as shown in this video, taken by a tracker, of this morning’s event.
This isn’t the first time the issue has come up, and the questioner might be excused for having read Perry’s October 1 letter that way. The letter, co-signed by then-Gov. Joe Manchin in their capacities as heads of the RGA and DGA, came three days after TARP’s failure to pass the House rocked the markets.
(…)
“We strongly urge Congress to leave partisanship at the door and pass an economic recovery package,” they wrote. “It is time for Washington, D.C. to step up, be responsible, an do what’s in the best interest of American taxpayers and our economy.”
Perry, later that day, released a statement that seemed aimed at countering the impression left by his letter without clarifying what he was calling for: “[G]overnment should not be in the business of using taxpayer dollars to bail out corporate America. Congress needs to take off its partisan gloves and work together to bring both short and long term stability to the credit markets….”
Perry maintained in the 2010 primary that he hadn’t supported the bailout, something his spokesman Mark Miner reiterated to me today.
“It was a letter by two governors urging action,” he said. “The govnror has been adamantly against the bailout and nowhere in the letter does it say anything about supporting the bailout.”
Miner noted that Manchin is also a bailout foe…
(…)
UPDATE: A spokeswoman for Manchin, now a senator, sends on his statement, which backs Perry’s stance:
My former colleague Governor Perry and I worked across party lines in 2008 to sign this letter on behalf of our respective organizations for one reason: to encourage Congress to put politics aside and move this country forward. Our message holds just as true today as it did then. At times of crisis, Congress needs to stop playing politics and come together around commonsense solutions for our great nation. Now, more than ever, Congress needs to focus on fixing problems, which is why I came to Washington. To me, it’s very simple. Our economic and fiscal problems aren’t red problems or blue problems; they’re red, white and blue – and the solutions should be, too.

Palin says she’ll make decision about 2012 ‘in short order’
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) said her decision on whether to run for president is due “in short order,” likely meaning no later than the end of September.
(…)
“We’re still talking about it, thinking about it. And that’s what I want supporters to understand. At the same time, I want to be very fair to supporters and not keep them hanging on in perpetuity,” Palin told David Brody of the Christian Broadcasting Network. “It’s fair to them to give them an answer here, in short order, so that they can jump on board with someone else.”
Asked whether “short order” meant by the end of September, she said: “I think that that is a fair timeline for people…” – The Hill

The Rickster’s spending record:

To (est.) $6961 per cap in 2009

This is fascinating, and it confirms Willard RomneyCare’s own rhetoric on the issues.
You can’t build a fence along the Texas/Mexico border because….THERE’S A RIVER ON THE BORDER. What are you going to do? Build a fence in the middle of the river? Or cede to Mexico our portion of the border.
Why is this so difficult for people to understand?

Say what, Ozzy???
Herman Cain’s impressive resume…
He’s not a career politician (in fact he has never held political office). He’s known as a pizza guy, but there’s a lot more to him. He’s also a computer guy, a banker guy, and a rocket scientist guy.
Here’s his bio:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
* Master’s degree in Computer Science.
* Mathematician for the Navy, where he worked on missile ballistics (making him a rocket scientist).
* Computer systems analyst for Coca-Cola.
* VP of Corporate Data Systems and Services for Pillsbury (this is the top of the ladder in the computer world, being in charge of information systems for a major corporation).
All achieved before reaching the age of 35. Learn from that, College Kids: Hard work and brains do pay off!
Since he reached the top of the information systems world, he changed careers!
* Business Manager. Took charge of Pillsbury’s 400 Burger King restaurants in the Philadelphia area, which were the company’s poorest performers in the country. Spent the first nine months learning the business from the ground up, cooking hamburger and yes, cleaning toilets. After three years he had turned them into the company’s best performers.
* Godfather’s Pizza CEO. Was asked by Pillsbury to take charge of their Godfather’s Pizza chain (which was on the verge of bankruptcy). He made it profitable in 14 months.
* In 1988 he led a buyout of the Godfather’s Pizza chain from
Pillsbury. He was now the owner of a restaurant chain. Again he reached the top of the ladder of another industry.
* He was also chairman of the National Restaurant Association during this time. This is a group that interacts with government on behalf of the restaurant industry, and it gave him political experience from the non-politician side.
Having reached the top of a second industry, he changed careers again!
* Adviser to the Federal Reserve System. Herman Cain went to work for the Federal Reserve Banking System advising them on how monetary policy changes would affect American businesses.
* Chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. He worked his way up to the chairmanship of a regional Federal Reserve bank. This is only one step below the chairmanship of the entire Federal Reserve System (the top banking position in the country). This position allowed him to see how monetary policy is made from the inside, and understand the political forces that impact the monetary system.
After reaching the top of the banking industry, he changed careers for a fourth time!
* Writer and public speaker. He then started to write and speak on leadership. His books include Speak as a Leader, CEO of Self, Leadership is Common Sense, and They Think You’re Stupid.
* Radio Host. Around 2007—after a remarkable 40 year career—he
started hosting a radio show on WSB in Atlanta (the largest talk radio station in the country).
AND Heeman did all this starting from rock bottom (his father was a chauffeur and his mother was a maid). When you add up his accomplishments in his life—including reaching the top of three unrelated industries: information systems, business management, and banking—
STACK THAT UP AGAINST THE ‘COMMUNITY ORGANIZER’….Herman Cain may have the most impressive resume of anyone that has run for the presidency in the last half century.
Welcome to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, sponsored in part by you – and all other American taxpayers. As we discovered in an investigation for Sports Illustrated, Utah officials have been remarkably successful in prying money out of Washington to pay for anything even remotely connected to this year’s games in Salt Lake.
The tab, we ultimately concluded, is $1.5 billion thus far, making the Salt Lake games the most expensive ever for federal taxpayers – two and one-half times more costly than the 1996 summer games in Atlanta, which had three times the events …
Dear fellow americans, we are at critical moment in this great nation’s history. We must decide between socialism, or liberty? As a grandfather, I pray we make the right choice. Get out there and talk to everyone. Race, creed, or color; everyone! Convince them to think. God Bless!
* Four consecutive balanced budgets
* Over $400 billion of debt paid off
* Bipartisan welfare reform
* 11 million new jobs
* Unemployment falling to under 4%.
Newt believes that life begins at conception. That is why he has a 99 percent prolife record.
“Gingrich Reaffirms His Belief in the Sanctity of all Human Life, Born and Unborn
“Atlanta, GA – (12/3) – In advance of this evenings forum hosted by Mike Huckabee, Newt 2012 released the following statement today from Newt Gingrich regarding his belief in the sanctity of all human life, born and unborn.
“As I have stated many times throughout the course of my public life, I believe that human life begins at conception. I believe that every unborn life is precious, no matter how conceived. I also believe that we should work for the day when there will be no abortions for any reason, and that every unborn child will be welcomed into life and protected by law. “
After November 6, 2012 the Republican nominee will be referred to in future history books as “the loser of the 2012 Presidential Race.” Or just his usual name “Loser.”
Newt: Pro-life Reaganite, led the Republican Revolution, took the congressional majority from the Democrats who had held it for 40 years; and even with a democrat president: cut taxes, cut spending, cut the national deficit, cut welfare, balanced the federal budget four years running, cut regulations, reduced unemployment, blocked socialized healthcare (HillaryCare) and encouraged the Reagan economy to flourish throughout his term and beyond. Not a bad conservative record at all. We can use some of this now!!
Romney: Pro-abortion Reagan denier, crossed the aisle to promote abortion, gay rights, gun-control, liberal judges and actually advocated for and installed a socialist healthcare system (RomneyCare) which became the model and impetus for ObamaCare. Saddled his state with unnecessarily higher healthcare costs, busted budgets, busted Republican label, liberal activist judges, tax payer funded abortion, first in the union gay marriage, and individual mandates against the previously free citizens complete with tax penalties for non-compliance. Not even a moderate record. Romney is a liberal progressive, to the left of his ally, the late Ted Kennedy.
“If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures.”
Stoddard on Fox All Star Panel seriously questions Romney’s panicked attacks on Newt and doubts it will work.
Krauthammer agrees and warns Willard that he better be ready tonight. “Gingrich has a glib way of avoiding the message and addressing the messenger and it works”.
Charles also notes that he calculates 1 in 7 in FL has already voted and can expect an 11 point Romney jump. However, Newt only would need a 2 point win with remaining voters to win the Florida election. With a 9 point lead, Romney is in trouble.
Charles says he call ‘em as he sees ‘em. This is what he sees.
Obama is more intelligent and is working towards the whole of America–please know that the bulk of Americans, white, black, rich, poor, know that Romney is a corporate puppet and he is going to lose. 100% of attacks are false

September 6th, 2011 at 10:28 am
Just as Governor Perry’s Texas has created more private sector jobs since 2009 than the rest of the states COMBINED — he is also polling with a higher number than Romney, Cain, Santorum, Huntsman, and Gingrich COMBINED by four points — per Politico.
September 6th, 2011 at 6:17 pm

TARP, folks..

DISCRIMINATION for those who WORK AND SUCCEED. That is what this government is doing.
I have a business for over 30 yrs, PAID MY FARE SHARE. The past 3 years I have reduced my staff to one, Make no money for myself, continue to pay my taxes, while trying to keep the doors open.
Can’t collect anything from our government, (unemployment, welfare program, medicare, medicade, food stamps) SO WHO IS BETTER OFF. The one’s who sit back, doesn’t work, doesn’t pay a fare share, and enjoy’s the free ride. Or the one’s who takes the risks, go to college, build a business, sacrifices and does the right thing by paying their fare share.

McDonnell

Kasich
Martinez

Did you know that taxpayers are still charged for uncovered emergency room visits, and to provide coverage or generous subsidies for those who qualify through Network Health and other programs?

Ozzy Says: “Kids really want someone who they can relate to, who they feel understands them. This is probably the only group where Cain’s ignorance might be bliss for him.”
====
* Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
* Radio Host. Around 2007—after a remarkable 40 year career—he
started hosting a radio show on WSB in Atlanta (the largest talk radio station in the country).

Uh-oh, the myth..
Once again, I don’t like Willard’s solutions:

God Bless!

There are two choices to run against Obama.

Conservatives that ran or almost ran in 2012 for OUR nomination..
Huck
Pence
Bachmann
Perry
Cain
Gingrich
Santorum
Barbour
Jindal
Palin
Do you see Romney’s name on that list? Neither do I.
The sooner WE conservatives can get a ONE-ON-ONE with Willard the Masssachusettes Lib, the better, imho.
That time is near at last.

Obama is more intelligent and is working towards the whole of America–please know that the bulk of Americans, white, black, rich, poor, know that Romney is a corporate puppet and he is going to lose. And after Congress made it soooo easy by not working with a sitting President. It comes across as ridiculous and careless and Romney’s remarks about “not caring about poor people” — that in itself just lost Williard a huge faction of VOTERS THAT ARE POOR….
See ya next term!
