NEWT THE DESTROYER isn’t just content to have wrecked his political career, his Speakership, two marriages, and his 2012 campaign (twice) . . . he’s now hell bent on destroying the Republican party in the process.
NEWT NEEDS TO GET OUT AND SHUT UP QUICK!!!

Blame the media. Newt has been saying insane things, and the media was just reporting these things, knowing they were fabrications. More recently, some of them have mentioned the truth afterwards.
This will take a little time to sort out. Mitt will emerge stronger.

wait what is the catch? this is Rasmussen, so if anything its R biased…and it shows Obama ahead of Romney by six, and over Newt by 18!? Holy crap. what is going to happen if the economy improves and the unemp rate goes down? what is the sliver lining here?

It looks like Obama has had a rebound in the polls over the last two weeks. The first thing that comes to mind is a mini-SOTU bounce (which seems to happen to every President to some degree) combined with not-catostrophic economic news and a GOP race where the candidates are beating up on each other more than they are the President. I could see Obama opening with a 10 point lead once our nominee is decided, but the gap will then begin to fade as the (R)s turn their attention on the President rather than the members of their own party. Whether or not we can overcome the gap remains to be seen, and I’d put the odds of an (R) in the White House in 2013 at only 35%-40%, but it will definitely be a closer race than what is being seen right now.

There is no silver lining. We’re doomed.

I think it’s to be expected that since there’s been a GOP bloodbath going on for months, our side is not going to look so great right now. This will recede after the primary ends.
Also, I wouldn’t be surprised one bit to see quite a few normally Republican voters in these polls saying they would vote Obama out of spite because they’ve chosen a side in the primary (ie I want Newt so bad I will vote Obama in the general if he’s not the nominee)
Regardless, if you want to believe the polls, clearly Romney is our only shot to win the White House, so at this point we really don’t have a choice. I still, however, believe that Romney will unseat Obama, especially if he can convince Rubio to be on the ticket.

I think this can be attributed to the GOP bloodbath plus the state of the union where he sucked up to independents. Just wait until Q1 reports with no seasonal jobs for Christmas. If gas prices go up to over $4, Obama is in trouble.

Hey, if this joker gets reelected, it doesn’t matter who we nominate in 2016. Obama Care will be in force, Iran will have the bomb, and America will be in defalt and bankrupt.
Rasmussen even reports that the Dems are leading the GOP in the Congressional ballot for the first time in 2 1/2 years!
We win in 2012, or it’s too late to save our Nations decline.

This is the result of Newt the great destroyer of everything he touch’s. I knew this was coming. People of the USA do not want this drama he is causing.
I think that Mitt can get his numbers back and some once we band together and shut Newt up.
