Democratic union allies are up in Florida with new attacks on Bain Capital, mirroring Gingrich’s line of attack verbatim. Now why on earth would Democrats want to help Newt? Oh right, this is why.
For those who don’t know, that was Rick Scott standing next to Mitt at the end. He was elected gov in 2010 despite his company defrauding Medicare. He is horribly unpopular in Florida now.
I’m convinced Rush/Hannity/Levin/Savage etc … WANT an Obama re-election.
They want to whine and complain and be rabble-rousers for their own fame and personal profit.
That there are so many lemmings that buy their crap is just sad. I used to think that the Liberals charicature of a dumb conservative was absolutely unfair … but SC conservatives have unfortunately lived up to that billing.
#7 – teledude – You’re right. If a company that Bain was dealing with while Romney was heading Bain was defrauding Medicare – he should to address it.
Also, the Dems still see Romney as the eventual nominee, so they’re trying to tear him down now. Don’t see that as inconsistent with what they’ve been doing all along.
How are those new power rankings working out for you?
How does a candidate get blindsided by 18-year-old handicaps? Because what was a problem in 1994 is still a problem in 2012 – namely, that Willard Romney has no fixed political prinicples as Huck warned us in 2007-9 and will say anything to get elected.
And that has become aptly clear to anyone paying attention. Which, in the Tea Party era, is a lot more than were paying attention in 2008.
Get it into your heads, voter turnout counts more then individual primary wins. If Florida Republicans turnout in record numbers as I suspect they wiil, following South Carolina’s lead….it will be devastating news for both Obama and the Democrat Party.
I know Florida is a closed primary. But, I have a question.
Is it a closed primary like it is in Illinois that a registered voter can declare which ballot they want on the day of the primary or do they have to register as a Republican for ___ days before the actual primary?

I agree with Craig, Newt Gingrich is the perfect candidate for those who looking for someone with fixed political principles. It seems Newt is willing to fall into a burning ring of fire for his principles; namely sex, power, and money. Mitt Romney’s life would indicate that he, no doubt, has enjoyed these things, but has he lived a life that shows he so committed to these principles that he will pursue them at any time, in any place, in any way? Has he showed he is willing to fall into a burning ring of fire? The answer is clearly no.
16. Wow, accusing Romney of principles of sex, power, and money? That’s fairly offensive for Romney’s lifestyle.
Consider: He is a full-fledged member of the LDS Church that teaches abstinence before marriage and commitment solely to one’s spouse. If Romney had any infidelities, they would have come out long ago.
In his supposed quest for money, he donates at least 10% to his church, and a whole lot more to many more charities. He took no pay as Gov. of MA, took no pay for CEO of SLC Olympics, took no pay to turn Bain around, and frequently took little to no pay for stump speeches during the 2010 campaign.
Power: He dropped out of the 2008 campaign because he felt to extend the race would be a detriment to the party. He returned in 2012 only at the insistence of his wife and for the good of the country. He built his resume by assisting companies to grow into great profitability. By that, the money and power come, whether or not one seeks it.

I wasn’t making a judgment, or casting Mitt into the darkness, where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth. I was merely explaining to those who may not recognize Florida politicians, the significance of the guy standing next to Mitt.
17, You misread me, I didn’t say Romney had those as principles, indeed, I argued that he showed a lack of commitment to those principles, a commitment Gingrich has clearly shown. I did say Romney has enjoyed these things. Abstinence and fidelity doesn’t mean one doesn’t enjoy sex, it just means one is not willing to fall down a burning ring of fire for it. Paying Tithe and doing things for free does not mean one does not enjoy money it just means one is not willing to fall down a burning ring of fire for it. Well I kind of doubt this narrative about him being a reluctant warrior in 2012, but regardless it doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy power it just seems he is not willing to fall down a burning ring of fire… Now perhaps I misspoke as it is impossible to really know whether Mitt has enjoyed Money, sex, and power, but it’s clear he has experienced all three, I hope he enjoyed them.
Greta??????come on!!! Greta has been kissing Newts butt for months, giving him hours of free time and delivering softball questions (probably in advance).
He is saying that it was the “establishment” that decided to run a bunch of “conservatives” to split the conservative vote so that a moderate (Romney) would get the nomination.
Does he not know how stupid that is?
So all of those “conservatives” that entered the race, did so “because” the “establishment” TOLD them to?
Mitt’s not a Doctor, how would he know what is deemed a necessary and unnecessary blood test by medicaid. I have a hard time believing Doctors were doing blood tests that they didn’t deem valuable. My wife’s been prescribed iron because she’s anemic. There’s a bunch of different kind of anemia though and iron based anemia is just the most common. There’s almost no chance she has iron anemia because she already took iron tablets before this. Another medication she’s on also causes anemia, which is probably the problem, but it’s just cheaper for the insurance company to treat everyone with Iron first than it is to run iron panels.
Sounds like Romney’s company was wrong about what was allowed, the doctors billed to medicaid, medicaid paid, then later deemed it not worthy of being paid, so the medical company had to reimburse the government. It doesn’t sound like a big deal to me, and I doubt Romney had anything near the expertise to understand what the issue really was.

Democrats have been trying to beat Romney for months now. This is no different.

BTW,
Do you suppose that most people know that Directors have virtually nothing to do with the day-to-day operations of companies?
Do you think most people will pick up on the fact that this is a Big Labor Ad run by Democrats?

But, but, but,
Rush says that the Democrats WANT to run against Romney.
I think not.

Query…
is the content of this ad true?
Is this a real issue?
If it is, it is far better for Mitt to address this now instead of next October…don’t you think?

remember that Romney was 10 points ahead on SC after NH. Gingrich finds himself in the same position

Interesting poll on Greta’s site
Which Republican campaign is the dirtiest towards a fellow Republican?
Rep Ron Paul 11.9% (45 votes)
Gov Mitt Romney 62.7% (237 votes)
Speaker Gingrich 21.69% (82 votes)
Senator Santorum 3.7% (14 votes)

Online poll from a Gingrich shill’s web site, has no value.
