  1. Smack1968 Says:

ARG was the worst pollster in the “2010 cycle”

I think we all can agree that Mitt has about 40% in NH and Newt may have about 15%.

  2. Ozzy Says:

Kelly Ayotte’s endorsement of Mitt has earned her a spot on Romney’s short list of VP choices. Romney mentioned there are about fifteen names on that list. That’s the lengthiest short list I ever heard of. :) I wonder who could be on that list.

  3. ccr Says:

Thanks, Smack, for that assessment. I was just looking to see what “informed” poll people had to say about ARG. I am learning!

  4. ccr Says:

This has some thoughts I find compelling. HOW does one “forgive” a ‘serial” adulterer who left wives w/cancer and MS? A man who portrays self-righteousness while calling out Clinton? A man who has RECENTLY taken “lobbying” money (call it what you want….it IS what it IS) to win AGAINST W’sand Greenspan’s efforts to bring reason to Freddie/Fannie and the housing market?

I often say “God Bless America”. With evangelicals throwing aside a FAITHFUL man (whose wife has had BOTH cancer and MS), who has never taken $$ except in private business for a man whose “core” is extremely weak at best…..I have to say “God help us!”

  5. Dave Says:

A quick look at the internals of this poll shows Mitt doing better than previous ARG polls in the state…..all of which show his support lower than most other polls.

    Smack nailed this one.

  6. Dave Says:

    ccr,

The piece you quote from is based on the factoid that Newt is ahead of Mitt in the Quinippiac Poll by a margin of 29 to 16 among born-again Evangelicals, while Newt leads Mitt by 4 points in the overall results.

My charitable response to this on another thread was that most Evangelicals probably aren’t aware of Gingrich’s multitudinous sins….personal and political…..and as the DO become aware of them, they will desert his candidacy in droves.

  7. Dave Says:

That should be Quinnipiac, not Quinippiac.

  8. ccr Says:

#7, yes, Dave, that is correct! Thanks for filling in for me! And, I hope for our country, you are absolutely right!

  9. asparagus Says:

Looking forward to hearing Newt’s plans for firing our overpaid unionized soldiers and replacing them with children tonight. Why does Newt Getrich hate janitors? Do we really want our schools cleaned by children? Doubt Newt has thought this one through.

  10. econ grad stud Says:

#9 You are aware that soldiers aren’t unionized right?

The crack about janitors was ridiculous though. When are kids supposed to sleep? Janitors work long after schools close.

  11. Rob Coffee Says:

Everywhere I go and everyone I talk to about Buddy Roemer the conversation always starts with, Buddy who. Or, if they have heard of him they don’t really know any details. That said, once I’ve shared his positions on core conservative values I almost always get a, wow I didn’t know that. If Buddy would have been invited to any of the debates he would have been explosive as he would have resonated with all of us on some things and many of us on everything. His support is growing every day… and I believe he is the best GOP candidate to topple Obama and his billion dollar campaign.

If you would like to know Buddy Roemer’s in depth position on marriage, trade, defense, forgaign policy, budget, immigration, energy,…. For a Q & A with Gov. Roemer go to http://www.ruck.us/profile/buddy-roemer
