No doubt the Tea Party will support Cain the most because he’s the most unelectable.

  2. CR Says:

Each of OUR big three holding Obama to 46% or below. Woo Hoo! Wait till the one on one debates in the general..

    BTW,

@FrankLuntz: I’m moderating the GOP presidential debate for @citizenlink live today at 4pm CST. I promise it won’t be like anything you’ve ever seen.

    Chill.

  4. Conservatives FTW Says:

    Ugh this is so frustrating.

I am not a fanatical Rombot (I was a big fan of Pat Buchanan and then Alan Keyes), but we are giving this election away if we don’t send Romney against Obama.

You are setting a great example for other Tea Party types. Spread the word!

Thanks, but I don’t consider myself Tea Party. I liked the movement when it started and the principles the movement was based on, but it’s turned an undefined group with an incoherent message that is not helping this nation.

I consider myself just very conservative.

    4. I could not agree more. Romney’s a good candidate w/deficiencies. But he’s the ONLY option not named Obama.

  9. aspire Says:

3 So what you’re saying is Romney could be winning Florida by 8.5%?

  10. aspire Says:

Keep in mind we’re in the Gingrich peak. After he gets his bump, but before his vetting really kicks in. What does this say about Gingrich’s ceiling?

  11. teledude Says:

Looks like Newt is the most electable.

All you guys preaching that should switch allegiance to him NOW!

    If your being honest…

Cool your jets, people. The Gingrich dust hasn’t settled yet. We’ve seen this movie before.

  14. hamaca Says:

    3. Are you saying that Cain is within the MOE of Romney in this?

Newt keeps pushing for Lincoln Douglas debates with Obama. LOL ! Doesn’t anybody remember that debating is Obama’s singular strength? In a Lincoln Douglas debate, Gingrich would look like the somewhat overweight Senator Douglas we see in the history books and Obama would appear, and debate, like Lincoln. It would be a disaster. Obama would have three debates where Gingrich would constantly be on the defensive, explaining his personal and political foibles, the $ 30 MM from the pharmaceutical companies, the $ 2 MM from Freddie Mac, the multiple wives, the girl friends, the $ 1 MM Tiffany bill, the Pro Mandates positions, the climate warming duo with Nancy Pelosi, the $ 300 K congressional fine and censure, the expulsion from Congress, the influence for hire insider legacy…….it goes on and on. Want a REAL election disaster ? Newts your guy

I’m sort of getting sick of this Rombot assertion that somehow only Romney will be able to maintain supposedly good numbers through a general election.

If Romney gets the nomination you’re going to see a whole new kind of “vetting.” And unlike Romney, Gingrich actually has withstood fire from the entire national Democratic Party as Speaker. Romney only had to deal with Masshole Democrats. DC Democrats are a whole different mutation. Ask McCain and Bush.

LOL. Yes, Newt withstood the Democratic vetting. it was his own party who fined him, found him ethically challenged and kicked him out

Don’t worry ST, there are assertions from all camps that people are getting tired of. ;-)

  19. aspire Says:

11 Did you look at the numbers without looking at all the names?

  20. aspire Says:

16 Look at the pattern this cycle. Look at where Cain is in this poll – Likely, that’s Gingrich’s future. They get big bumps when the media attention first turns to them. Then they get vetted and crash down to earth. Keep in mind it’s NOT just republicans who turn away from these guys when they fall, they fall in head to head polls with Obama as well.

You can argue Gingrich won’t see a similar fate as Bachmann, Perry & Cain, but I think anyone reasonable would have to admit there’s a high likelihood of it happening.
