From the official release:
President Obama’s call for nearly a half-trillion dollars in more government stimulus when America has more than $14 trillion in debt is guided by his mistaken belief that we can spend our way to prosperity.
Like the president’s earlier $800 billion stimulus program, this proposal offers little hope for millions of Americans who have lost jobs on his watch, and taxpayers who are rightly concerned that their children will inherit a mountain of debt.
America needs jobs, smaller government, less spending and a president with the courage to offer more than yet another speech.

At least he has a plan, Mr. Perry.
September 9th, 2011 at 9:16 am
And how is Obama’s plan going to be paid for? We’ll make those 12 guys figure it out! Lol. That was some amazing leadership last night.
I used to think Santa Claus lived in the North pole, but now it seems he lives in the White House. Why does he think that $1500 tax-cut (payroll) will stimulate all that much? Then, a $4000 tax credit if we hire someone who’s been unemployed? Does he have any idea how much it costs to bring on a new employee? Dumb dumb dumb.
This plan pales in comparison to Romney’s, Cain’s or even Huntsmans.
Still waiting on Perry’s plan. So far its: “Jobs are awesome”. That’s about it.

The plan is as simple as it is ingenious: Step 1: Take down Mitt Romney. The clue of ObamneyCare points directly back to RomneyCare as the weapon that has murdered the economy, Inspector.

Right!….where IS his plan….I am surprised and disgusted at the media support Perry is getting after his horrible debate performance. Now, I see where Rush has thrown Bachmann OFF the bus…saying she was hurt because Palin has waited so long to make a decision…sounds like he’s making excuses for Bachmann’s tea party supporters stepping all over themselves to get to Perry.

You know Perry is beginning to sound like a broken record…. How about giving us some real substances dealing with real problems instead of platitudes.

PerryCare health plan …Twenty-four percent uninsured…No problem, bill the taxpayers.
September 9th, 2011 at 9:48 am
MarqueG,
ObamaCare is an abomination, but it has very little to do with our current economic problems. What’s killing the economy is over-regulation, an insane tax structure, and the Environmentalist death-grip on what can only be facetiously referred to as our “energy policy.”
And you can’t possibly be stupid enough to think that MassCare has anything tangible to do with ObamaCare.
September 9th, 2011 at 10:07 am
Good statement, but like all of Perry’s words, lacks any call to action. Romney’s statement will refer to his jobs plan.

“America needs jobs, smaller government, less spending and a president with the courage to offer more than yet another speech”
Unfortunately, Governor Perry, you increased the size of government, increased spending, and have yet to offer anything more then another speech. You did see job growth so you get credit there… although inheriting the environment ideal for job growth removes some of the luster.

The payroll tax cut is a reverse form of social security. Rob from tomorrows seniors to pay for jobs now. It would be like borrowing from your 401k, except today’s payroll taxes go to funding todays seniors. So all its doing is putting social security more in jeopardy. Remember Obama is the only President to ever cut Medicare. Now he is the only one to cut Social Security.

Perry’s “job creation” strategy in Texas was to bribe companies to move there by giving them grants. Is that what his plan is on a federal level? How is that better than Obama’s pathetic plan?
