RON PAUL!!!!!
August 31st, 2011 at 11:21 am
Just to make sure everyone’s on the same page — this is the same self-selected internet poll that put Herman Cain in the #1 or #2 slot for most of the spring and summer. Heh.
August 31st, 2011 at 11:23 am
Now that Ron Paul has nearly perfected blitzing straw polls, why doesn’t he take up interactive polls? That seems to me to be then next glaringly obvious place for him to go to skew the numbers people are exposed to.

WHOOO HOOOOO!!
Huntsman within 9 of Romney!
Too bad it’s Zogby…..
I could have just made up my own numbers.

Zogby. Forget it.

•Rick Perry 52%
•Mitt Romney 23%
•Ron Paul 4%
•Michele Bachmann 2%
•Chris Christie 1%
•Herman Cain 1%

Too bad it’s Zogby. But what if it’s right? The order looks right!
Anyway, it sure is fun!
How many national polls is that now showing Perry solidly ahead?
Counting this one, 5 or 6? Will Romney EVER see the lead again? I gotta go with no.

Zogby blocks those fools. Back to the dorms!

I would say Rick Perry is skewing this poll more than Ron Paul is…….

Oops, forgot her. What’s wrong with those 23%? I can clearly understand Huntsman’s astronomical
number though:
Let’s quickly recap Hunt’s liberal oriented strengths..
1. Pro Evolution
2. Anti Creationism
3. High School Dropout
4. Man Made Global Warming Zealot (Think.. Al Gore)

TO EVERYONE -
No one has refuted my basic assertion that Perry seems like a jerk. Enjoy the high polling numbers Perry fans, because once America gets to know him, they’ll recoil and realize that they couldn’t handle seeing him on TV that much.
The same thing goes for Palin. Her shrill voice will simply turn off most voters.
I hate to distill it down to such simple things, but this is how America looks at these election. They will witness mudslinging on every side, then they’ll go with their gut. And usually it’s the person who annoys them least.
Perry/Palin = annoying to most people. No one has gotten to know Rick Perry yet. He will annoy people.
Last night I say highlights from the Romney/Perry speeches to the VFW. Romney seemed intelligent, but then they panned to Perry and it was like he was grunting compared to Romney. It was almost like hearing a British person debate an American. And it wasn’t just the accent. I have heard Texans sound intelligent. Just not THAT Texan.

I’m disgusted. What a bunch of blind sheep. The GOP has been hijacked by radicals and folks who apparently don’t think things through. We have stopped being rational and logical and clung to ideological purity and I am sick of it. If the GOP is dumb enough to nominate Rick Perry for pres, I’m done. Goodbye GOP, hello independent and I will be praying for a third party candidate. Fortunately for the GOP, I guess, I live in Hawaii, so my vote won’t matter anyway.
On a side note, watched a documentary on PBS last night about Nixon, it was facinating, he is the one that essentially built the Southern strategy and turned the South into GOP territory. I guess I can blame him for the mess today.
August 31st, 2011 at 12:28 pm
David, I hope you are right. I tend to think so, but we have a huge swath of the party who don’t think for themselves and are guided wholly by emotion and what the tea party talking points of the day are. No pragmatism, no living in reality, just a bunch of overly angry people with no rationality.
August 31st, 2011 at 12:34 pm
Swint,
Relax. Did you get the interactive part?? Check out Quinnipiac today and you will note Romney’s still very much in this race……and it’s just getting started.
August 31st, 2011 at 12:42 pm
“but we have a huge swath of the party who don’t think for themselves”
Yeah, we do…the moderate wing that is more concerned about grade point averages from 30 or 40 years ago and how sharply creased someones slacks are.
Perry has a lot of issues…but the Rombots using standard liberal talking points are just re-enforcing Perry’s appeal to the anti-establishment base.

Most of us on this site are more informed voters than the average American. So we can see through Perry already. But no one has gotten to know him.
Seriously. Give him some time to debate and to do some interviews.
During the Laura Ingraham interview, she started to ask Perry about Mitt, and before she could even get her question out, you hear this laughter “he he he” in the background. To me it made him sound like a jerk. Then the whole blowing kisses, “Send Mitt my love”. That’s what the jerk in most movies does.
I believe most Americans aren’t paying attention. Let it play out. Mitt is doing fine in the early States. He may even have a chance in Iowa.
And then there’s the Palin X factor. She will blow kisses to Perry and stir things up.

“The same thing goes for Palin.” Ah no, the same thing goes for the arrogant Mr. Romney.
