June 28th, 2011 at 11:24 pm
50% of New Hampshire Republicans have an unfavorable view of Palin?
After the clambake??????
June 28th, 2011 at 11:24 pm
Notes:
Romney’s standing improves slighly.
Palin’s numbers went down following her bus tour.
BACHMANN SURGE!!!!
Giuliani’s fall from the radar screen has hurt him slightly
Huntsman now has some name ID, but has abysmal FAV/UNFAV
TPaw… not looking good. Maybe he needs to visit NH again
Also: Palin and Newt have no chance. No amount of convincing will be enough. Look at UNFAVS
June 28th, 2011 at 11:25 pm
Pawlenty in 10th place…wow…this candidacy is DOA.
June 28th, 2011 at 11:27 pm
Giuliani will be back in New Hampshire soon. He also is unannounced.
Still, right now it’s Romney and the 15 dwarves in New Hampshire.
June 28th, 2011 at 11:32 pm
Alex,
You think Rudy will run?
June 28th, 2011 at 11:33 pm
Looking good for Mitt.
June 28th, 2011 at 11:35 pm
Gingrich? Wow! how does he ever pretend to be able to turn these numbers around.
Palin might want to focus on Montana.
June 28th, 2011 at 11:37 pm
I think Montana would be a beautiful state to make a final stand. She could just camp out there for the next ten or eleven months.
June 28th, 2011 at 11:39 pm
You can still drive a bus around and put on a lot of miles in Montana. No clams though.
June 28th, 2011 at 11:41 pm
Montana gets caribou. They’re a much better totem than a clam.
June 28th, 2011 at 11:46 pm
According to this poll Sarah had 7% before the bus ride/clam bake, and 4% afterward. Maybe NH has had enough of mavericky candidates. Even Bachmann is trying not to look serious instead of mavericky. She’s a non-flaky scholar? that’s going to make for an interesting billboard.
June 28th, 2011 at 11:52 pm
I can’t help but wonder what in the world is happening with Pawlenty. Makes no sense to me. He’s my second choice by a long shot. Bachmann ahead of him just sends chills down my spine, and not happy ones. Why isn’t substance more attractive to these people than bomb-throwing? I’m wincing at these numbers, you can only guess what internal gyrations Iowa numbers cause in me.
June 28th, 2011 at 11:57 pm
Lots of buffalo in Montana. (“Buffalo” the animal, not the verb.)
June 29th, 2011 at 12:04 am
Yeah I can’t really complain about these numbers. The Pawlenty death rattle continues as people jump from one flavor of the month to the next. All the while Romney consolidates his standing as the clear front runner. If Bachmann continues to be the Anti-Romney then Romney’s path to the nomination is pretty clear. Give Bachmann enough rope and let her hang herself. She is a notorious bomb thrower who in her time in congress doesn’t have a single bill with her name on it.
June 29th, 2011 at 12:14 am
It’s a long way until N.H. primary.
Wilard Rockefeller Romney who lives there should have at least 95% among
fellow libs.
June 29th, 2011 at 12:17 am
Matt,
You should be happy, your candidate T-Paw is at 2%,he’s still not zero.
June 29th, 2011 at 12:23 am
36% for Romney is not bad but it’s not good either.
Campaign didn’t start yet.
Giuliani and Huntsman can easily drive Mitts numbers to low 20s.
If he loses N.H. it’s all over,he’s out.
Did you ever think of that?
June 29th, 2011 at 12:30 am
Why are we still polling non-candidates?
June 29th, 2011 at 12:31 am
Sarahcuda the huntress loves to hunt RINOS!
That’s her hunting speciality.Plenty of RINOS this coming season.
She will field dress all of them come this fall and winter and hang
them on the walls as trophies.
June 29th, 2011 at 12:34 am
12 – The problem is that he’s everyone’s “second choice” and no one’s first choice. He is Romney-lite. He needs to distinguish himself, which it seems like he is desperately trying to do (and not very successfully to this point).
June 29th, 2011 at 12:36 am
If, for some reason, Romney falters, I think Pawlenty’s numbers would go way up.
June 29th, 2011 at 12:40 am
#17 26% in front of the 2nd place candidate and that’s not great?? And you are right, things haven’t even really begun. Mitt’s numbers there will get better.
June 29th, 2011 at 12:44 am
#9….Watch…..They have lots of Mountain Oysters…
June 29th, 2011 at 12:47 am
#22…Spenza……Only a moonbat would like at 36% to 4% and bet the farm on 4%….field dressing trash talk not withstanding…
June 29th, 2011 at 12:51 am
#19
#19. Have you gone back and read that comment you just posted? Sounds like you are reading strait out of a super hero comic book….man you need help. It absolutely terrifies me that there are people voting in the GOP like yourself. WHAT happened to you as a child?!
June 29th, 2011 at 12:52 am
Jerald, I agree.
June 29th, 2011 at 12:55 am
So…Thus far Palin leads in Montana and Romney leads nationally and in all the other states polled recently including all 5 all-important start-off states and the moonbats think Sarahminnow has Romney shaking in his boots for fear of being field dressed?
I’m beginning to pity the poor moonbats…
Can’t we just talk about Palin like she’s a living, breathing politician with pros and cons like everybody else, a tough road to the White House, who probably isn’t even running?…
June 29th, 2011 at 1:01 am
TEX #19
Sorry Tex, but after watching Palin’s reality show and the way she handled a gun, I doubt if she really ever hunted much….like she has all you guys thinking she does.
June 29th, 2011 at 1:03 am
Jerald, to them she is a real life super hero. She has certain powers that nobody can touch. I’m almost convinced that Palin supporters believe that Palin is the 2nd coming of Christ disguised in female form.
After all, she is perfect and can do no wrong. Quitting her job was a BRILLIANT strategic move. What can I say more? These are actually people that vote in this party. Similar to those who thought Obama was the Messiah, now we’ve got this in our party??
June 29th, 2011 at 1:52 am
Pataki?
June 29th, 2011 at 2:55 am
#28….LV….I didn’t say anything at the time, but as someone who’s done lots of climbing, fishing, and shooting (target) myself, she looked like a novice to me too
That has nothing to do with politics, but it makes her look unathentic, same as quitting in the middle of her term…
June 29th, 2011 at 4:26 am
#29:
Quiting her job in the same year she earned $7 Million and while no being able to afford paying for the defense fees of the lawsuits.
just sayin’
June 29th, 2011 at 4:28 am
#11 WIA,
Maybe Michele can get in touch with Christine O’Donnell and get her ad person to come up with a spot called “I am not a Flake.”
June 29th, 2011 at 5:17 am
One has to wonder if the nomination is going to be a run away train for Mitt. There is zero chance that Bachmann gets the nomination.
June 29th, 2011 at 5:54 am
Matt, my name is Som0ne You Know, not Alex. Who is this Alex fellow? Whoever he is, he must be pretty smart to have been confused with me!
June 29th, 2011 at 6:06 am
Thunder……Whoa partner….hold your horses!
Don’t jinx the Rominator with that “runaway with the nomination stuff”
You may think it in your heart, but keep a low profile and step carefully….until after Florida
June 29th, 2011 at 6:21 am
If Ron Paul does not win.. we will have another puppet… All other candidates are more of the same. They will carry out the same agenda that will eventually lead to ruin. Vote Ron Paul for the sake of the nation, your freedom, and your lives. These polls are more than likely untrue as well… the establishment is known for picking and choosing the numbers that they want. Palin is not a Maverick. Pawlenty is Romney is Gingrich is Santorum and all the rest. Bachman talks a good game so I will give her a chance.
June 29th, 2011 at 7:23 am
SomOne,
Indeed.
June 29th, 2011 at 7:35 am
This is a pretty paltry ROI for Mitt. I mean, the guy’s been camped out fiercely in NH for two to three years now. His staffers and supporters have probably offered to carry in each resident’s groceries at least once. That type of smothering Romneypresence might even backfire.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:11 am
39:
I’ve seen little evidence that Romney’s been camped out in New Hampshire. He’s been there for sure (and will be there more as the primary season evolves), but his campaign has been more national than focused on winning any individual state.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:18 am
#39…MarqueG….You need to work on your memory skills……It was only just a few months ago that people here were posting links to articles from NH gripping about how Mitt was ignoring the state….
Not to mention that Mitt’s been all over the country the last few years. I’d hardly call that “camping out in NH”…
June 29th, 2011 at 8:27 am
39–Romney’s not been “camped out fiercely in NH for two or three years”. He lives there in the summer! Not camping….residing. But what’s that got to do with these numbers? How is a 24% lead a “paltry” ROI?
He’s spent far more time in other states handing out money to other conservatives like Haley and Bachman over the past 3 years and that’s what’s paying off for him in the consistently high numbers. He’s earned it the old fashioned political way…he bought this support the way every politician does….give money and make friends.
That’s the reality of politics and Mitt has done it better than anyone this cycle.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:31 am
27 – I am more than happy to do that. Just remember that ALL the candidates have flaws…you just know more about Palin’s because people are actually interested in her. If Romney is the nominee, I can guarantee you that we’ll all know about his flaws…then I hope I don’t hear you complaining about lies and misrepresentations.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:34 am
42 – that is why I have always said that Romney should be the RNC chairman. He is good at what he does…when it doesn’t involve governing…or running a left of center against an actual liberal.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:40 am
39. If you want to spin something, there usually needs to be a trace of truth somewhere in there. Your comment doesn’t qualify as spin. Neither could it be considered distortion. I see it more as a vivid imagination. Of perhaps it can be chalked up to simply a bad guess?
June 29th, 2011 at 8:42 am
Sure tex. What evaaa. sorry to see her flick panned last night. I had great hope to see her at the acadamy awards for best comedy.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:08 am
46 – Ellie, you have some serious issues. Panned? OKAY…
June 29th, 2011 at 9:13 am
jersey.43:“If Romney is the nominee, I can guarantee you that we’ll all know about his flaws”
And that has been Romney’s exact strategy all along. Why do you think he got in so early? One of the reasons is so people like Deroy Murdock and all those other over-the-top Rom-nots can scream and scream and scream about Romneycare, Abortion, Gun Control, and anything and everything else they can think of or invent that could possibly hurt him. All those “issues” then get thoroughly vetted, discussed, and digested by the electorate long before any votes are cast.
Why do you think that Palin’s numbers have been so steady for so long? It’s pretty much the same phenomena. The electorate already knows her, her perceived strengths and weaknesses. What new can be said about Sarah that we haven’t hear already? Not much.
Romney’s polling stability is pretty much the same thing. There really isn’t that much more to be said about either of them that hasn’t already been said countless times before. Screaming louder about it one way or the other isn’t going to change that many minds at this point. A few percentage points up or down to be sure; but double digits swings? Far less likely.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:27 am
marK, do you really believe that Romney has already received the media treatment? C’mon now. To hardcore followers of politics…sure I might agree with your assertion but Romney has yet to face what Palin has gone through. I know you guys like to believe that all of it was Palin’s doing but I can guarantee that whoever the nominee is, they will get the media treatment that has only been reserved for Palin the past 3 years. I just hope I don’t hear any whining about it.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:32 am
Also, I’m not sure I agree with your last paragraph. I agree politics are perception but the perception can be changed in the right environment. In Palin’s case, the only environment would be a Presidential election. If she runs, she will have the opportunity to change those minds by a double-digit swing(depending upon which polls) Think about it, Palin could come into a debate or two and perform great, maybe even be considered the winner…that would be a catalyst for a huge gain. People would remember what they liked about Palin back in August of 2008 and she will reap the benefits in the polls. I’m not saying it will happen…but you never know.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:35 am
46. Was not a good flick. You know it, I know it. But live in la la land, if you must. FYI, who was that carrying Palin’s purse? LOL.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:40 am
New York Post critic Kyle Smith served up a very harsh review:
“Its tone is an excruciating combination of bombast and whining, it’s so outlandishly partisan that it makes Richard Nixon look like Abraham Lincoln and its febrile rush of images — not excluding earthquakes, car wrecks, volcanic eruption and attacking Rottweilers — reminded me of the brainwash movie Alex is forced to sit through in “A Clockwork Orange.” Except no one came along to refresh my pupils with eyedrops.
I’d sooner have watched a Michael Moore movie.
Any Michael Moore movie.
June 29th, 2011 at 10:11 am
jerseyrepublican
Palin has been attacked far more viciously and in much more of a high profile by the MSM.
But did you ever notice that the entire Conservative media (you know, the media that Republican primary voters listen to and watch?) has been drooling over her for the last 3 years, nonstop?
Now on the other hand, Mitt gets bashed and hammered every day on POLICY by the Conservative media (you know, the one that most Republican primary voters listen to/watch?). There is no way to attack him personally besides his faith. And most people are turned off by bigots.
June 29th, 2011 at 10:43 am
#43….Jersey, my post dosen’t apply to you.
However, if you somehow think Romney’s flaws, real or imagined, haven’t been trumpted from the house tops for the past 5 years…..well……then…..you are approaching moonbat territory…
June 29th, 2011 at 10:45 am
#49 ” I just hope I don’t hear any whining about it.”. Doesn’t that come off as being hypocritical on your part? All we hear about is you guys whining about how unfair Palin. Is treated. The only thing that I don’t want to see is Mitt’s religion brought up constantly, as it is unconstitutional. Mitt days “anything is fair game in politics”, instead of making against and shouting at the “Lame Stream Media”(such a childish and reactionary statement). Mitt is an adult….the whining won’t come from him, as it does with Palin.
June 29th, 2011 at 10:55 am
This is just ridiculous.
June 29th, 2011 at 11:14 am
Talk Radio/Fox News: “Rick Perry will change the dynamic of this race if he gets in!”
Yep, he garners a whopping 2%.
