  1. Matt "MWS" Says:

    308 Republicans?

There were more candidates polled in this thing than voters.

  2. Matt "MWS" Says:

But it is fun to see Newt at 2%.

  3. Massachusetts Conservative Says:

This poll is a joke. It was conducted around the same time as the most recent Rasmussen poll, but has remarkably different results.

Plus, it’s old. It was done being conducted a week ago.

  4. Smack1968 Says:

    MOE = 5.5….horrible poll.

    however…..

    Romney – 19%
    Giuliani – 13%
    Pawlenty – 05%
    Gingrich – 02%
    Huntsman – 02%
    Santorum – 01% = 42%
    ——————–
    Perry – 13%
    Palin – 11%
    Bachmann – 08%
    Cain – 05%
    Paul – 05% = 42%

I know there is overlap…however I think you get the picture.

    42% Establishment
    42% Grass-Root/Tea Party

As MEM & Matt (MWS) have warned us….the Grassroot division in the 2012 GOP Nomination race is more powerful this year then in the past.

  5. Matt "MWS" Says:

To me, the most jarring number in this poll is Perry at 13%. He isn’t polling that well in Texas.

  6. mcon Says:

Pawlenty should be happy though….he is back up to a whopping earth shattering 5%.

  7. Jaxemer11 Says:

4 – I don’t think “grassroots” is the right way to describe it. It is stronger this year though, but I don’t think it will last. People will come to their senses.

  8. Jaxemer11 Says:

5 – That’s because he is a terrible candidate. Surely the anti-Romneys can come up with someone better than him.

  9. Jerald Says:

Humm….. Everybody but Romney getting creamed by 3 people who haven’t announced and likely are not running.

And then coming in at No.5 is Bachmann….Probable flavor of the month candidate.

    Humm….

And my No.2 guy, Pawlenty, coming in at No.8 …behind Ron Paul…Uggggg

  10. Watchinitall Says:

Polling non-candidates seems to hurt T-Paw the most. Take the 2, 3, & 4 out, and a very different picture would emerge. No idea what tht would look like, but still . . . .
