Maybe I’ll have to use InTrade #s as 1/2 of the computer polls in my BCS tracking.

Glenn Beck calls Mike Huckabee the dreaded ‘P word’ (Video)

Glenn Beck appears to have turned against his Fox News co-worker Mike Huckabee. Today on his radio show Beck called Huckabee a “progressive,” something that, for Beck, signifies the ultimate evil.

EVEN GLENN BECK HATES HUCKABEE! I thought Huckabee was the ultimate tea party candidate? ;)

BREAKING: Governor Mike Huckabee event at the Family Arena this Sunday has been cancelled. Lack of interest?

    Bye BYe HUcK!

  9. Rombot Says:

More great news for Romney. I don’t put much credit in early polls, but intrade is not just a poll. This is where people are putting real money at stake (something a lot more valuable than a dumb blog avatar reputation that can be changed in 2 seconds).

  10. Ben Says:

    Too funny TAMH -

I took the bait and clicked. Interesting that this site does just as much tap dancing around the question of taxes as Mike did in the debate last time around.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9fGw1joaG4

And then proceeds to tap dance by trying to distract people by pointing away from Huck at the end and trying to deface Romney. Classic smoke & mirrors.

  11. Fredrick Says:

    RomneyBOOOOOOOOM!!!

  12. Craig for Romney 2012 Says:

Ben LOL!!! I’m sorta hoping now that he gets in so I can see Mitt pummel HUCK!

  13. Ben Says:

I do find it interesting that Gingrich has fallen so much since he was initially snooping around at the thought of running.

#13 – Geez, I’d forgotten about Gingrich. Is he still “running”? What the hell is he up to? It’s as if he’s fallen off the face of the earth since his mangled announcement.

Don’t click that link, it’s a virus that they send to all Romney Supporters.

That might be the best case of false advertising ever.

  19. Max Twain Says:

Huck collapsing on Intrade, down to 4.7 from this morning. Apparently the insiders know something, and perhaps the SC staff rumors are true.

  20. Craig for Romney 2012 Says:

@Max you may have to update that picture since Huckabee gained the 100 pounds back.

  21. Ben Says:

Ooo, ooo, I can play Huckabee politics on his behalf. I’ve watched enough of it to feel comfortable in doing so. Now I insert a scripture to make it seem like God is backing me in my decision……

Matt. 19:30 – But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

That’s it. I call it for Huckabee now. I can’t compete with the Big Guy upstairs. :P

  22. Not Your Daddy's Craig Says:

The Best is Worth His Weight?

  23. Rombot Says:

    Another interesting intrade number.

Chance Huckabee announces he is running for President is down to 36% from 55% a couple days ago.

  27. Rombot Says:

Pretty quiet over on the Iowa Poll thread Craig. Did you or did you not lie about Clemmon’s record over there?

  28. Craig for Huck/Beat Obama! Says:

Obviously, a number of folks who are supposed to be conservatives are still drinking from the anti-Huckabee Kool-Aid trough, kept full of distortions and outright lies by some of the radio talkers and the GOP establishment- but the number of “drinkers” are thinning out.

In 2008 when he was virtually unknown to the average voter, the “conservative” media was able to get by with most any false charge they wanted to level. They could say what they wanted about his record as Governor because the average conservative had no idea what it actually was. Today, it’s a different story. People have had time to shuffle through all the trash and tripe and are beginning to recognize it for what it is.

I think most voters do not think the fiscal conservative bona fides of a man who cut taxes and fees almost 100 times, saving the taxpayers almost $380 million, and left a surplus of nearly $850 million should be denigrated because he took such actions as implementing a 1/8-cent sales tax hike. Plus, Huckabee never raised taxes anyway- the people did by a vote of 80%. Throngs of conservatives have awakened and are dismayed at the disingenuous means used to smear the Governor’s character.

Governor Huckabee has the ability to appeal to non-conservative voters, independents and minorities. He’s charming and charismatic, a gifted speaker with a quick wit and disarming sense of humor. He is the anti-Obama. Perhaps that is why he has led overall in polling for over a year now. (Even though most of this is downplayed, ignored, or unreported)

All appearances however, would lead one to believe that the average American conservative voter is beginning to see through all these old, worn out, and ridiculous charges of “RINO”…big government “progressive” and of course the juvenile “Huckster.” Classy.

And by the way, the Clemmons issue is getting old. When you look at the actual facts of the entire tragic story, Governor Huckabee had about as much to do with it as our Saint Bernard did. Even the Seattle Weekly admits they blamed the wrong party:

    http://blogs.seattleweekly.com/dailyweekly/2010/10/the_maurice_clemmons_case_we_b.php

Mike Huckabee is in a league all of his own. He possesses the experience, wisdom, character, leadership abilities, and communication skills necessary to guide our nation in a more hopeful direction. If you are still skeptical, or can’t break free of the Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Glenn beck, poppycock- do some digging. The truth might just set you free.

    Even Rombots ;)

    =====================================================================
Your progressive lies are not going to work! Your posts are full of lies. YOu don’t get a surplus by not over taxing the people. And yes, face facts, Huckabee is a RINO except for being social conservative. And your lies will in slave you Craig.. Get free of Huckabee and smell the fresh air of freedom.

  30. Rombot Says:

28 – If you wouldn’t lie about the Clemmons issue, maybe it would go away.

  31. Ben Says:

“Huckabee is in a league of his own”

Is that the minor league (baseball)?
    AAA league (baseball)?
    D league (basketball)?
    10,000 leagues under the sea?

Yup – I’d agree with you 100% Craig.

  32. Shaw Says:

As a Romney supporter, I just want to say that the acts of some of the Romney supporters on here is getting old and is not reflective of all of the people that support Romney on this site.

Lay off of the personal attacks on Huckabee. It’s not doing Romney any favors.

  33. Ben Says:

Shaw – could you point out who you might be referring to and which attacks. I want to make sure people don’t think that I personally attack Huckabee. I tease some of the posters on here (as they do so in return to me) but have no intent to PERSONALLY attack Huckabee. Talking about candidate past should be open though – right?

  34. Shaw Says:

Agree…. Issues are totally fair game, but the weight and religion references are getting old. I’ve been a long-time lurker on this site and just recently began posting. So, I’m referring to multiple posts worth of comments. Same goes for supporters of other candidates that attack Romney personally. At the end, there will be one candidate we’ll have to all ‘back up and promote their strengths against Obama.’

  35. Rombot Says:

I agree completely 32. I haven’t seen anymore personal attacks than normal though.

  36. Ben Says:

    Alright –
I agree with the personal appearance/family/personal in general attacks. I use the religious commenting to show my uncomfortability w/ Huckabee’s overt use of his religion as a political tool. He thrusts it into the arena – In my opinion. But that may just be me.

  37. Joe Hanna Says:

  38. BlueGrass State of Mind Says:

    Craig -

There were no lies about your candidate in 2008. No one was paying any attention to him so they weren’t even wasting air time on him. If he decides to run then the media will get the chance to tell voters about the real Governor from Arkansas.

  39. Craig for Huck/Beat Obama! Says:

  40. Matthew E. Miller Says:

I could have tripled my money on Ryan’s stock in just the last 3 days if I’d been able to recover my stupid intrade account from years ago. But their system for resetting passwords is just bewildering and unnecessary.
