Tim doesn’t excite me, but he’s my number 2 guy for a very simple reason…..he can do the job, and his core values and principles, as well as his stand on the issues, are all in alignment with reality.
Note that CATO rated him a better governor than Daniels. In 2007 Barrons rated the economic platforms of all of our candidates, and rated Romney’s the best. If they do that again, it will be interesting to see how Pawlenty’s rates in comparison.

My sense is this sentiment is held by a lot of people who are watching the race.
I also think Pawlenty is a smart guy, and is well aware of the ‘zzzzzz’ sort of critique, and he has started taking steps to become less ‘zzzzzz’. Watch the last 2 minutes of the speech, for example.
