Great that Huck gets these high-profile people on his show, including international VIPs. I wonder if such interviews could be considered international or foreign policy experience should he choose to run. That issue comes up during campaign season, of course, and usually there aren’t many candidates who can make the claim unless they’ve served previously in an administration.

HUCKABEE: I do think that’s inappropriate. I think people should judge Mitt Romney on his record. Is he consistent? Does he say and believe the things now that he said and believed before? That’s what ought to be the criteria.
I don’t think his Mormonism ought to be a factor in it. And I wouldn’t vote for or against somebody because they were Mormon. It simply wouldn’t be that big of an issue for me.

Mike Huckabee’s weight is not something we bring up to poke fun. It’s simply an indication that he probably isn’t running in 2012, unless we see a rapid and dramatic weight loss. In addition to the photo John posts above, take a look at the video clip here. That’s a far different Huck than the one we saw jogging with reporters back in 2007.
As for interfaith alliances, it will be interesting to see if Mormons and Evangelicals can openly join forces on matters of joint interest the way Mormons and Catholics are doing that. A lot of progress in that direction was made in California’s Prop 8 election, but the uneasiness remains. That’s a subject for another post, I think. Maybe for a book!

Ta, granny T, but I know a lot of petty dorks, who like Huckabee are so jealous and envious of anything better than them. They are obsessed with belittling, to make themselves feel better, kind of like Huckabee who cannot leave the 2008 race alone!
As far as the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, Romney is wisely staying out of it. The narrative will increasingly become Palin and Huckabee are competing for the same votes and pit the 2 against each other.
We have already seen palin go so far so early to say Huckabee clemmency decision was foolish and Huckabee attack her for quitting her governorship early. ROMNEY IS DOING THE RIGHT THING.

people can attack em all they want, nut I know secretly there are many who appreciate my honesty. What I’m talking about is the truth. Huck won Iowa because of Romneys religion and we are going to see Hucks bigots come out again come 2012!
I know people want to ignore these cowards who play the religion card, especially in such a cowardess way, but all Americans should stand up and rebuke these fools and fight for the freedom of religion.
It is Mr. loose weight to run for President Huckabee, as he did a few years before he announced hos last race, who is playing this card. It is him that should be called out and come 2012, I think more and more people will start focusing on this sadly and Huckabee should be required to denounce ALL OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps this is the biggest confirmation he is running, which he is. if it is true. He does not want things to get to heated with him and palin this early. He is going to wait ande not compete with her yet.
He has his eyes on Iowa. I dont think it means much, but certainly, the narrative will increasingly become him and Palin are competing with each other!

Just thought I would add some stuff from another blog about piggy Smuckabee!
Mike Huckabee’s weight is not something we bring up to poke fun. It’s simply an indication that he probably isn’t running in 2012, unless we see a rapid and dramatic weight loss. In addition to the photo John posts above, take a look at the video clip here. That’s a far different Huck than the one we saw jogging with reporters back in 2007.
As for interfaith alliances, it will be interesting to see if Mormons and Evangelicals can openly join forces on matters of joint interest the way Mormons and Catholics are doing that. A lot of progress in that direction was made in California’s Prop 8 election, but the uneasiness remains. That’s a subject for another post, I think. Maybe for a book!
Here is another, I will say I disagree with this guy in thinking Hcukster is not running. I think he misunderstands the pathetic character of this fake scoundral!

It put me in mind of the oft-repeated quote from Haley Barbour at CPAC last weekend, “If you see me lose 40 pounds, you’ll know I’m running for president….”
I’d say the Register is dead nuts on with that one.

I’m so sick of you clowns that say Huck who was in an Evangelical state, when he was an Evangelical preacher, A PRO LIFER AND A VERY BIG TAXER. MAKING SUCH A BIG DEAL OUT OF HOW HE FOOLED THE PEOPLE OF HIS STATE and had some degree of popularity so8unds ridiculous!
Romney fought Gay Marriage more than any Gov in history and that pissed some folks off, as well as some other things.
Romney was a Mormon in Catholic liberal Mass. I mean give the guy a break!! The most liberal state in the country.
