    Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
    http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

Overall, 50% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance. That’s up four points since the morning of the speech and is the first time his approval has reached 50% among likely voters since November 16. Fifty percent now (50%) disapprove.

This is the first update based entirely upon interviews conducted since the State-of-the-Union Address and it reflects a bounce for the President. The number who Strongly Approve is the highest in more than four months (since September) and the overall Approval Index rating is the best in more than three months (since October).

Thirty-three percent (33%) of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -7.

The bounce comes almost entirely from those in the president’s party. Sixty-four percent (64%) of Democrats now Strongly Approve, up from 50% before the speech. However, the speech appears to have had the opposite impact on unaffiliated voters. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 50% now Strongly Disapprove. That’s up from 42% before the speech. The next few days should give an indication as to whether these changes will fade or if they signify the beginning of a new phase in the political environment.

This headline is factually false. Perhaps it’s wishful thinking, or deliberate deception in an attempt to rally their pro-life audience, but, if you get past the erroneous headline, the very first sentence in the OneNewsNow piece points out (albeit prematurely) that Alaska voters will have the chance to decide whether minors seeking an abortion should be required to first notify their parents of their plans prior to having the procedure performed.

In November 2007, the Alaska Supreme Court ruled that the state’s parental consent law was unconstitutional.

Brown: ‘I’m A Scott Brown Republican’
In an exclusive interview on “This Week,” Massachusetts Senator-Elect Scott Brown says he supports abortion rights and made it clear he’s not your average Republican.

The newly elected Massachusetts Senator made it clear he’s not your typical Republican referring to himself as a “Scott Brown Republican” and said he’s fiscally conservative but more moderate on social issues, especially his stance on abortion.

Scott Brown tells Barbara Walters how he’ll use his status as 41st senator. During our exclusive interview on “This Week”, Scott Brown told Barbara Walters that while he opposes federal funding for abortion, a woman should have the right to choose whether to have one.

“I feel this issue is best handled between a woman and her doctor and her family,” Brown said.

So, there’s been a shift of two justices, one prochoice and one prolifer since then. We don’t hold these decisions in stone. although the privacy clause in the Alaska constitution might pose problems
