Rudy Giuliani is predicting that the 9/11 conspirators trial is going to be moved to Gitmo at a military tribunal. That will happen, as he predicted that Obama’s decision to ax the trial in New York City is now come to fruition. Cavuto’s raising the prospect of a Giuliani-Romney ticket does makes sense. Rudy should have been the GOP candidate in 2008 against Obama. The voters were hoodwinked by ‘the One’ and made to believe he is the Omnipotent that can right things. Rudy has the executive experience, the common sense take on how to solve problems, the charisma and great leadership!

    Giuliani/Paul Ryan would be better.

7 – Yesssssssssssssssss Dream Ticket for ’12 I would travel to the ends of the Earth for that ticket

  9. HYUFD Says:

5 But he will never get the nomination because of abortion. If he does, then for good or ill, the GOP will be seen as a libertarian party and the Religious Right may well sever ties with it for good!

From your mouth to God’s ears! ;)

  11. Glo Says:

Ditto, post#8. The Gop cannot win on a small segment as the Religious Right as well as on one issue alone. The country
is in so much dire condition , and could fall on a cliff, unless a strong hand and steady leader can prevent that, and
it is Rudy Giuliani. And he can encompass a larger tent that includes libertarians, and moderates of both parties.

  12. HYUFD Says:

Glo- Rudy now encompasses libertarians but not moderates, he lost most of those in 2008!

    Among Independents

    Rudy Giuliani 19%
    Mike Huckabee 16%
    Mitt Romney 12%
    Sarah Palin 10%
    Newt Gingrich 5%
    Jeb Bush 2%
    Bobby Jindal 2%
    Mark Sanford 2%

  14. Glo Says:

So glad to see the info you posted. #13 Independents swing votes to the winner! That ‘s what happened in the Massachusetts senate race. And Rudy did compaign with Scott Brown. the contest that has so much at stake, a reversal of the deplorable health Obamacare.

  15. HYUFD Says:

13 – Winning Independents in the GOP primary does not encompass winning moderates in the general. Rudy was leading both Clinton and Obama until summer 2007 when he moved right promising massive tax cuts and taking an ever more aggressive approach to the Middle East, as a consequence although his new stance appealed to libertarians it turned off his former moderate base, consequently by the time of Iowa and New Hampshire both Hillary and Obama beat him comfortably in the polls and he was trounced in the primaries as moderates flocked back to McCain. Social conservatives had of course never backed him in the first place!

  16. Doug Forrester Says:

Fred Thompson is a more plausible 2012 nominee than Rudolph.

  17. AWF Says:

Agree 100% with Doug – it’s a bit surprising to me that Fred is so overlooked while Rudy is so overhyped.

  18. hamaca Says:

    17. Maybe Fred has no interest, whereas Rudy does?

Flashback: NARAL Pro-Choice NY Rips Rudy
    November 20, 2009
    http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypolitics/2009/11/naral-pro-choice-ny-rips-rudy.html

A spokeswoman for the organization reached out to the Daily News’ David Saltonstall today to push back on what she called the “tendency to refer to Giuliani as a ‘moderate pro-choice Republican,’ insisting the former mayor’s failed 2008 presidential bid changed all that.

“I want to go on record up front and make sure you know that NARAL Pro-Choice New York no longer considers Giuliani to be pro-choice,” Samantha Levine wrote in an e-mail to Saltonstall.

“We base this assessment on statements he made during his Presidential campaign when he pledged to ‘appoint strict constructionist’ judges – a term we all know to be code for judges who would overturn Roe – and also stated that overturning Roe would be ‘OK’ with him.”

“This position is at complete odds with the values of NARAL Pro-Choice New York and, quite frankly, of New Yorkers,” Levine continued.

  20. Sarah & Mike: Fox Superstars Says:

Fred Thompson would have to be woke up first, that lazy baseborn! ;)

  21. Sarah & Mike: Fox Superstars Says:

If Rudy garnered the nomination, he would be required to choose Huck as his running mate FTW.

  22. HYUFD Says:

Aron – Yes, but he is still pro-choice and the GOP will not nominate a pro-choice candidate for the head of the executive branch.
