Hawaiian television stations are reporting that vacationing talk radio star Rush Limbaugh has been rushed to a hospital via ambulance. Unconfirmed sources say that he is in “serious condition” and was suffering from chest pains.

Rush is smart to have his coronary artery bypass graft operation done now before ObamaCare destroys the medical services in the USA. These expensive surgical procedures will no doubt be rationed, just as hip replacement surgery in the UK is not available for those deemed to old or too fat, and there is a 6+ month waitlist for CABG surgery in Canada. CABGs are expensive and the government “effectiveness panel” will no doubt deem them “socially unaffordable” for those over 60 because of the cost per expected person-year saved by bypass surgery or angioplasty.
Smart move, Rush – get it done NOW before it’s not available in the USA anymore for those who are deemed too old by the “panel” to not be worth the cost.
Somehow, I’ll bet the panel will find that surgery for lung cancer in patients who smoke (like Obama, for instance) will still merit their surgery – whichever groups have the most political power will make sure their favored few get their procedures approved while the rest of us are deemed unworthy of the cost for our conditions.
Here’s to Obama lighting up a few more Newports on his vacation.

Rush only smokes cigars from what I’ve heard. Most of the recent tax increases have been towards cigarettes. I don’t know if there is a distinction as far as the tax code is concerned, but just for everyone’s information.

To all the ass-hole people wishing the worst for Mr. limbaugh at this time when a prayer is more in order. He is a great American who, through his radio show is trying to open the eyes of the common citizen about what our government is attempting to do to our freedoms and rights and ignoring our great Constitution. Without Rush there are not too many people out there to open the eyes of us common citizens about the way the Democratic Party is making a mockery of our 234 yr. old Constitution and attempting to turn this country into a dictatorship. Rush, I hope and pray God will pull you through this medical trauma you are currently having so that you can return to the airwaves to continue to open the eyes of the people who are blind to the antics of the current government. you all know that Rush never said anything grouchy about a progressive or wished them any harm in any words of his. His show was pure love and light. I loved the way he sang holy songs and laughed happily about losing any elections. He never raised his voice in anger or criticized others. He was almost holy, but not ordained. What a minister to the weak he was. He really loved us all.

My thoughts and prayers are with Rush and his family. Rush is a great American who has been the greatest advocate of conservativism and the founding principles of this nation since President Reagan’s departure from the White House. Those who dislike and criticize or disagree with Rush, I would hope that you could over see your political passions to be compassionate to another human being that is facing a health concern. Vile and mean spirited states display a lack of toleration for those you differ with, displays judgementalism, and displays those to be political fanatics placing their politics as a religion to be placed before others.
