I Just Love God’s Sense of Humor

Blizzard-logo
This just in:

World leaders flying into Copenhagen today to discuss a solution to global warming will first face freezing weather as a blizzard dumped 10 centimeters (4 inches) of snow on the Danish capital overnight.

“Temperatures will stay low at least the next three days,” Henning Gisseloe, an official at Denmark’s Meteorological Institute, said today by telephone, forecasting more snow in coming days. “There’s a good chance of a white Christmas.”

Denmark has a maritime climate and milder winters than its Scandinavian neighbors. It hasn’t had a white Christmas for 14 years, under the DMI’s definition, and only had seven last century. Temperatures today fell as low as minus 4 Celsius (25 Fahrenheit).

LOL on using the Blizzy logo. That’s a company that is currently making money hand over fist. :)

  2. Jack Bauer's Dad Says:

This is why they dropped “golbal warming” and now refer to it as “climate change;” they’re tired of nature refuting their beliefs

  3. OHIO JOE Says:

    Good one!

  4. marK Says:

    pete,

It seemed appropriate, considering that the blizzard is providing so much entertainment for us.

It is the well-known “Gore Effect”. Al Gore has a long history of scheduling “Global Warming” events and then having the venue hit with record frigid temperatures during the event. It’s uncanny.

God is enjoying himself, I am sure.

Heh, I turn on Race today and I thought the first post on the list here was something about Starcraft 2 for some reason :P

One good thing about being a Republican is that you know God is one of you.

You should see the winter here in Sweden, it is absolutely freaking cold !

  8. DanL Says:

Dang, I thought that you were going to say that the Lich King had been defeated and upon removal of his helmet it was discovered that his true identity was Barak Obama.

  9. Tom in SoCal Says:

Who says God doesn’t have a sense of humor?

  10. steve Says:

Idiots… go read some science. Everything is affected. Overall warming can localise different weather, including cooling. You small minded, shutter-eyed people will never understand until your oversized house is flooded, you’re digging in the sand-tar pits with your hands to glean the last drops of oil for your 4×4 or your children are on fire in a forest. But the world will still keep turning with or without our society, the billions of species of plants and animals currently in decline, or our own sorry species itself, so nevermind ay.

  11. Kristofer Lorelli Says:

10 – it would be nice if you could formulate your own argument, without control-v from a Goreologue.

Republicans are not discounting the fact that there has been changing weather patterns.

Our point is that Scientists are not certain is this is solely man-made. AND…..we are not prepared to set our economy back 20 years on this ‘hunch’.

  12. Kevin Says:

It was also probably pretty warm in some places during the Ice Age.

Local weather does not equal planetary climate.

  13. MWS Says:

This stuff has been going on for years. Every time the pagan Earth worshippers get together to denounce humanity, it’s always unusually cold for the time and place they are end. Drudge has been giving such weather reports during the gatherings of these Weather Nazis for years. It’s uncanny.

  14. MWS Says:

    steve,

So if the Earth warms or cools, your prophesy is fulfilled.

    How convenient………..

  15. MWS Says:

    Kevin,

I think there is as much or more evidence that we are entering another ice age than there is for global warming.

  16. Dave Says:

    steve,

I’ve studied the science, and concluded that the immediate threat–and by immediate, I mean sometime in the next thousand years or so–is a return to the Ice Age that has plagued the planet for the last few hundred thousand years from the last stage of the inter-glacial that we currently find ourselves in. Interglacials throughout the current Ice Age have only lasted for 10,000 to 15,000 years, and we’re almost 12,000 years into this one. If the earth, which has been cooling since 1998, actually began warming again, it would be reassuring.

steve:“Idiots… go read some science. … You small minded, shutter-eyed people will never understand…”

It must be hard watching your long-cherished, unquestioned faith and beliefs get shot down in flames. What are you going to do now that global warming is beginning to lose all semblance of scientific respectability? Circle the wagaons, plug your ears, and go, “La La La La I can’t hear you”?

Don’t feel bad. The flat-earthers went through the same crisis you’re going though clear back in 1492.

Among who? Twits? I’m serious, this kind of stuff really pisses me off. People talk out of their butts, utterly lacking even the most remote understanding of how science works. Look at how actual scientists discuss the fall-out of “climate gate”, and they’re not concerned about widespread corruption. They may underestimate the damage it does to their cause in the general public’s eyes, but seriously…

    I’m done.

  19. marK Says:

    Freds,

You know me better than that. Look what I actually said, not what it appears I said. I was having a little fun with our new troll.

  20. Bob Hovic Says:

utterly lacking even the most remote understanding of how science works

I agree — I understood that science worked through an open sharing of data so that findings can be tested and either replicated or disproved. Clearly, I was wrong.
