Sen. Lieberman reitrerated his commitment to fillibuster any bill which contains the public option in an interview with Chris Wallace (health care enters the conversation a few minutes in):

If the public option plan is in there, as a matter of conscience, I will not allow this bill to come to a final vote, because I believe the debt can break America and send us into a recession that’s worse than the one we’re fighting our way out of today. I don’t want to do that to our — to our children and grandchildren.

#5, maybe he still plans on running as an independent, but I think he knows he’s going to get a much smaller percentage of the Democratic vote this time around than he did in 2006, and so he needs a larger share of the Republican vote to make up for it.

LIEberman is a scumbag, because of his repub blood, he could deny MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of hard working AMERICANS healthcare… I hate working 40hrs a week and not having insurance. I have pre-existing , but even if I didnt, the cost would take up so much of my monthly salary I would barely be able topay rent, and 2 of 4 utilities…how do you eat?? Health Care IS NOT MENT TO BE PRIVATELY HELD, IT IS NOT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD MAKE MONEY ON, YOU DONT MAKE MONEY OFF PEOPLES HEALTH…its an oxy moron, you can have one or the other, they dont go together….thats why a public option makes sense…they care about your health, not hight profits for shareholders… the crap about “govt takeover” is republican crap…PARANOIA AT ITS FINEST, then again republicans are all paranoid INSANE FOOLS anyways.
