Huckabee is very good at pointing out the problems but comes up short on solutions or ideas. Although he did put out a call for Nancy to put congress to work to solve the unemployment problem.
#2 I guess you missed Huckabee suggesting cutting the payrole tax rate to get people back to work, its was pretty plainly stated to me. He has also stated awhile back that congress could give businesses a tax free year for the amount of money they are going to spend on the stimulus. You also failed to see that he very successfully blamed the democrats for the 10% unemployment by saying they are not even concentrating on the right legislation. He made several good points.
It’s been a LONG time since Huck has said anything I disagreed with. If I didn’t have a better candidate in Mitt, and if I didn’t know some of the things I know about Huck, I could easily support him.
I didn’t say he didn’t have some good points, but the payroll and business tax cuts is basic Econ 101., he just failed to come up with his ideas on how he would solve the issues he was asked about.
By the way, has anybody read Huck’s new book. I picked one up and was planning to read a chapter here and there, but couldn’t put it down, it is a great read. Not a political book at all but rather a thoughtful take on the first Christmas. I was laughing and crying and it really had the roller coaster of emotions. It is a great book. If you are on my Christmas list you will be getting one, but if not you you should get your own, I promise you won’t be disappointed even if you don’t support him politically you will love the book.
It may be two years and two months until the next Iowa caucuses, but if you’re considering a run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, it’s never to early to visit the Hawkeye State.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is the keynote speaker Saturday at the Iowa GOP’s annual leadership dinner in Des Moines. The function is one of two major events for the state’s Republican Party. And as the fundraiser’s main attraction, Pawlenty invites more speculation about a run for the White House.
The next day Mike Huckabee returns to Iowa. The former Arkansas governor and 2008 Republican presidential candidate visits on Sunday to promote his new holiday themed book, “A Simple Christmas: Twelve Stories that Celebrate the True Holiday Spirit.”
Now a Fox News talk show host, Huckabee has returned to Iowa several times since his win in the 2008 caucuses, most recently to raise money for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Vander Plaats.
On Tuesday, George Pataki returns to Iowa to help raise money for the GOP. The former New York governor will be the keynote speaker at the Scott County Republican’s Ronald Reagan Dinner. Pataki’s visit could fuel speculation that he’s interested in making a run for his party’s presidential nomination in 2012. Pataki spent a lot of time in Iowa during the early stages of the last presidential election cycle, but opted not to become a candidate.
Anytime a possible contender for President is on T.V. having a serious interview about the major problems facing the U.S they should take full advantage. I had the feeling he was wanting to push his book and his show on and not wanting to talk economy, or unemployment.

Should read “baby steps”. Nothing like a good typo to destroy a good joke.

What was he asked about directly that he didn’t address? I must have missed that question in the interview.

Great interview by Mr. Huckabee, although he is not my first or second choice now, it is not surprising that he has become the front-runner.

Ikv, try listening to Huckabee more closely next time, my friend.
Thank you, Huck!
Keep on pointing out the mistakes of Pelosi, Reid and Obama!!!

Excellent analysis by Governor Huckabee. I agree.
