    Aron,

Dalke has already cited this poll in a thread today.

I mean it’s on the front page already.

  3. Dave Says:

A relatively astute electorate. They (narrowly) favor free medical care but reject any method of paying for it. They don’t seem to have a very rosy opinion of Obama, but, on the whole, seem to like Crist just fine. We can work with that.

  5. Matthew E. Miller Says:

    Dave,

For 14 more months we can work with it. After that, Charlie Crist will be out of a job.

  6. Dave Says:

    Matt,

You really seem to have it in for Crist. Not as bad as Alex has it in for Mitt, but pretty bad. What’s up with that? You listed a few things awhile back, but nothing that amounted to much, so what is it?

Seeing as how his endorsement of McCain just before the Florida Primary was the reason Mitt lost the nomination, I should be the one with the animus toward him, but what did he do to you?? Just curious.

  7. David Schmidt Says:

With the opinion on Charlie moving so much, it shows something is going on. I think we are going to see that many GOP voters are going unfavorable on Crist in light of Marco Rubio becoming known to them. I think we will see a good jump for Marco Rubio in the next head-to-head match-up. My guess it will somewhere in the neighborhood of Crist 50%, Rubio 35% which is a gap of 15% compared to about 23% in August. If Rubio can pull above 40% by the end of March, and have Crist below 50% by then, Rubio should win this.

  8. Matthew E. Miller Says:

    Dave,

I think Crist is a fake and a phony. I think Crist is everything Mitt’s worst detractors think he is, but much, much, better at it. I think he has no political principles worth speaking of- that he’d cast aside his own mother to get ahead. And I think he’s a stunning mediocrity which is something Mitt couldn’t be accused of on his worst day.

  9. MWS Says:

I just got a “BREAKING NEWS” e-mail that said:

Obama wins the Heisman Trophy after watching a college football game!

  10. Dave Says:

    Matt,

I appreciate the response. You probably know more about Charlie than I do, so I don’t know that you’re wrong about him. I’ve never perceived him to be that disingenuous, so I’ll look for it from now on to see whether it’s there. Thanks.

The survey shows Owens leading Republican Dede Scozzafava 33 to 29 percent, with Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman pulling in a significant 23 percent of the vote.
