Pre-Orders for Palin’s Book Already Impressive

From the AP:

Just two days after HarperCollins announced that the release of Palin’s memoir, “Going Rogue,” had been moved up from the spring to Nov. 17, preorders for the former Alaska governor’s book have made it No. 1 on Barnes & Noble.com on Wednesday and at No. 2 on Amazon.com, trailing only Dan Brown’s “The Lost Symbol.”

Say what you want about the woman, but when she speaks, people listen. Here’s to hoping that the book promotes more “Sarahtarianism”, as explained by Adam Brickley!

A controversial movie once came to my hometown when I was a youth. A bunch of people tried to get it banned. The lines of people waiting to see it stretched ’round the block. The attempt at banning failed and the pro-banning people threw in the towel.

What happened? The attendance plummeted. Within two weeks, the movie was gone. The movie wasn’t that great. Nobody wanted to see if if nobody was making a fuss.

I am enjoying watching Sarah’s book rise in the charts. Those fools on the left tried so hard to demonize and marginalize her. They have only succeeded in making her a bigger force than she would have been if they had just let her be. If they had just treated her with the honor and respect that a former VP nominee deserves, this would not have happened. They have only themselves to blame. “Hoisted on their own Pitard”, I believe is the expression. And they deserve it.

And I am loving it. :-)

You’re right of course, marK. But you know it’s not just the left and the media (to be redundant about it) doing this. Some within the party, backers of her prospective opponents, demonize her in a manner that would make Axelrod blush with shame.

It really is fun, as you say, to watch their efforts backfire on them.

  3. Adam Brickley Says:

    Thanks for the shout-out, Anthony!

Well, everyone knows what I think of Palin as a presidential candidate, yet I’m going to buy her book. I’ve never said she’s not interesting.

  5. Taylor Says:

Lets not make the same mistake the left has made when it comes to Levi’s upcoming book that will no doubt trash Palin. Outrage will only lead
    to increased interest and sales.

  6. JA Pruce Says:

Governor Pallin’s book sales are going to be HUGE. I would not be surprised when it is all said and done that she may well revolutionize the publishing industry much as she has revolutionized social networking. Sarah is becoming a master of the media and people wait with baited breath to see what comes out of her twitter and face book compared to when the president speaks and no one pays attention. She is truly harvesting a movement the likes of which we have never seen.

  7. Kevin Says:

Well, it’s going to sell well. I’d buy it, but the best parts will be on websites such as Kos, Race42012, etc, within hours.

I can’t really blame her. She wants to make a lot of money, and this is the way to do it (resign as Governor, release a book). I can’t say I wouldn’t do something similar in her situation. Doesn’t make her a good Presidential candidate though.

  8. Bert Slater Says:

Of course it is a hit, Sarah took Ann Coulture’s advice and did what she does, she included crayons for free! Also the last half of the book is devoted to the last half of her term as Governor, they are blank!
