Orrin Hatch, during his brief Presidential run a few years ago, when asked why he had trouble raising money in Utah, said, in effect, that it’s a lot harder to raise money from people who are sober than from people who aren’t. Mitt doesn’t seem to have much trouble, though. He raised $6 Million in the state during his run, and the well hasn’t run dry.
What mostly intrigues me is tonight’s gala. Is this a 1-shot deal by McCain and Kyl, or will this be a sign of things to come? My bet’s on the latter.
Romney is not making enough money for his campaign. It the mainstream news media and the Democratic want him to run again. He is not conservative and he is a ‘liar’. Romney won’t get the nominee in 2012. He is done!
Gov. Pawlenty Paves Way for a 2012 Run
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is launching a political action committee and Web site Thursday as he continues to lay the groundwork for a potential presidential bid in 2012. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125435676701854553.html
Something doesn’t add up with the numbers from the article. If about 150 people came, then the event had to raise $150,000 minimum if 0 people ended up paying $5,000 for the VIP reception. Am I missing something here?
I’m a Romney supporter, having said that, I believe Pawlenty will be a good advisory to Romney during the primaries. Respectful, knowledgable and all around good guy…maybe VP material????
No! Mr.#5,the mainstream media and the democrat fear Mitt, they really don’t want Mitt run again, because he is the best of all and he is the rising star,he is the America true leader,he is the strongest leader, smartest person, the most qualify for the presidency, the most experience in the economy that all American people need,he is the most courageous leadership America never ever had before, the most power full speaker, the man of integrity, and the best character fit to be the president of U.S. now;he can beat Obama by landslide in 2012.
Dan, I know that if someone was able to raise $10,000 they were able to host a table of ten. Possibilities could be that a couple paid $10,000 and brought 8 of their friends.
Anyone have the combination of the $125,000 in SLC, $80,000 in Arizona, and the two fundraisers in DC?
Also, the link I posted said Mitt has five fundraisers scheduled for October to raise money for other republicans. Does anyone know the dates and the republicans the fundraisers will be for?

Micah,
Anonymous is the alter-ego nom de plume of one of our regular posters, albeit one with a slightly demented sense of humor. Don’t take it seriously.

Is 125K good for one night in SLC? As that is commonly known as mormon headquarters, was Romney expecting to earn more?

“Romney is not making enough money for his campaign.”
If he actually had a campaign at the moment, you might be right.
