Greetings Race 4 2012. It has been a long time since I have FPP’d here, but I have a truly important announcement to make.
As some of you have known, HuckPac had a goal to make 10,000 phone calls for Bob McDonnell today. As of right now, we have successfully completed 10,223, not including the paper tallies that are still rolling in.
The power of HuckPac is not in campaign contributions (although are nice), but rather in the ability to mobilize and coordinate efforts to assist candidates via Grassroots participation.
This was an overwhelming success and I am very proud to be associated with HuckPac.
All Pacs have issues, and this one is no different, but we work through them, and we press on to promote the common agenda.
Way to go, and thanks to everyone who made calls today.

go HuckPac!

Pow. This is one of the main reasons that Marco Rubio will beat Charlie Crist.
Huck PAC / Huckabee grassroots people want a fiscal conservative like Huckabee and will see to it that Crist who supports Cap And Trade, Obama Spending, etc doesn’t get into the senate.
Rubio is also a better speaker, stronger on pro-life, and inspires new voters to join the GOP.

Congratulations Brett, I’m glad you guys managed to surpass your goal. Let’s hope McDonnell takes the boost and wins.

As a basketball team improves with “chemistry” that comes from many hours of practicing and playing together, so Team Huck Volunteers are seeming to do the same thing. We’re getting stronger, as time goes on, just as a body-builder does. We’re organizing better, we’re growing in numbers of not only members, but active participants, and we’re learning how best to focus our efforts in a positive direction in an effective manner. I truly believe that today’s effort put Bob McDonnell in a terrific position. I’m looking forward to seeing the next poll results!

This was a strong performance by Team Huck. Gov. Huckabee is putting together a tremendous network of volunteers connected by their commitment to him and the conservative principles upon which he stands.
Big fundraising numbers are important, but Huck just proved that boots on the ground (or mouths on the phone) can get things done in a big way.
Team Huck helped Bob McDonnell in Virginia today. I say bring on the next challenge!

Good job to you and the rest of HuckPac Brett. I’m not sure how effective phone calls are, but the number you all managed to do is very impressive.
We are going to win the Governor’s race in Virginia this November. Bob McDonnell is a good candidate, and Creigh Deeds is inspiring no one. If McDonnell feels that Huckabee and his PAC had something big to do with it, than the Governor of Virginia may feel the need to repay the favor to the former Governor of Arkansas in 2012.
These are the sorts of things that a serious candidate for President needs to do. They need to mobilize their supporters to help other Republican candidates. That is how favors and IOU’s are collected to be cashed in later on.

Good job. That’s tremendous.

Romney is known as McDonnell’s no 1 supporter in the “big 3″.
People stop saying that Rubio can beat Crist! Word is he’s looking for an exit strategy already.

Great article Brett, it is a good reminder that despite Mr. Huckabee’s PAC troubles, HUCK PAC is doing a lot behind the scenes to support GOP candidates. Ironically, I saw my Romney friend (who is high up in the local party) at a breakfast yesterday and told him that we need to look at candidate X (a Huckabeeite) to run for Congress because people like him vote won’t for candidate Y against the Blue Dog. He defensively told me that he would not vote for the Blue Dog again no matter who our candidate is. He told me the it would be difficult to get our Huckabee friend candidate X to run because the state party left him high and dry in a state race. If it were not for HUCK PAC helping him out behind the scenes, cleaning the mess made by the state, we’d be in a bigger mess.

The Grass roots movement is the key to taking back our country. We need an informed grass roots movement that knows that the Global banking cartel that has turned our Federal government into their puppets needs to be defeated. Any candidates that are CFR, trilateral commission, club of Rome members or attend the Bilderberg meeting must be shunned. The top three candidates for the 2008 election for both heads of the one party two headed snake were CFR members and this has to change. Whenever the main stream media talks about politicians that are on the fringe like they did about Ron Paul in 2008 that will be the candidate to vote for. Being on the fringe is code word for not part of the elite global banking club selling their souls and the best interest of America. Ron Paul is fringe because he believes in sound money, sane foreign policy and a strict interpretation of our constitution. The Federal Reserve is destroying America.

#11 – “The top 3″ ? Huckabee easily falls in that category and you think he was in the CFR? Puhlease. He did speak there (CFR HQ), but not a member.

Even in a downturn, Mitt Romney raised more cash than ‘huckpac’. AND Romney was not even so vain as to name the pac after himself.

#13, do you even read the posts?
August 23rd, 2009 at 9:56 am
Mitt’s not in the CFR either!!!! Is Palin? I doubt it!!

12, 15, save yourselves the effort guys. He thinks Israel was behind 9/11. I don’t know if he’s a legitimate kook or just here to amuse himself.

Nicely done, HuckPAC.
It’s nice to see conservatives/Republicans helping each other instead of knifing each other.

good job

It’s gonna take more than a grass roots movement to win the Presidency for the Republicans.
Grassroots are good for rallying the people, but only break up the vote, causing the other party to win the W.H. Huckabee is a good example, he might as well have been a third party!

We in Virginia appreciate the help very much! Your work is not going unnoticed. Great Job by the Huck Pac Team!
August 23rd, 2009 at 2:39 pm
Thank you, Brett, for writing this blog about Huck PAC’s success! We had volunteers making calls that had never done this before! They emailed me to tell me how nervous they were with that first call, but found that it was a breeze after that, and a rewarding experience! Team Huck Pulled together, and they came thru! Most politicians don’t have what Gov. Huckabee has – the ability to draw people in and motivate them into helping our country do the right things. I think it’s because Governor Huckabee is REAL. He represents the people and he relates to them. And most of all, he stands strong on values and principle! I’m so proud of Team Huck for all they did, and I’m very proud to be a part of Team Huck! I’m confident the people of VA will be getting McDonnell as their Governor! Thanks Team Huck for all that you did! YOU ROCK! I couldn’t be prouder!

#20 When I made my phone calls into Virginia for Bob McDonnell, I reached one of Bob’s staff members at his home. He told me how much they appreciated Huck PAC’s help! He seemed to think that our effort was well worth it! Grassroots is good for reaching people, and informing them. After making those calls, I couldn’t believe how many people didn’t know who Bob McDonnell was. Now they do! And they were interested in him because of what he stands for and because Gov. Huckabee endorsed him. They planned to go to his website to check him out. Just hearing a name sometimes helps, too….for those that don’t go to the polls informed. They tend to choose someone they have actually heard of over someone they haven’t. Grassroots is the key to success, and HuckPAC proved that by making the volume of calls they did! We are still at it to…for the next few days!

Thanks for the nice article, Brett. It was a pleasure to talk to the people of Virginia on behalf of Bob McDonnell. I talked with a lot of people who told me how unhappy they are with the current policies of the administration, including a doctor who was livid at the way the President is portraying doctors in defense of his health care “reform”. She said all the docs she works with feel the same.
Team Huck has pulled together people from all age groups and income levels with one goal. Governments are not instituted to be run the way ours is being run and we want real change that makes a real difference in the lives of real people.

I made about 65 phone calls yesterday with our local HuckPAC group (out of around 500 phone calls made).
HuckPAC definitely had a better list than the McCain campaign had during the general election last year. When I made calls into Colorado for McCain, 75% of them were wrong numbers – not so with the HuckPAC list (only two or three of the 65 calls).

“Mitt’s not in the CFR either!!!! Is Palin? I doubt it!!” Sorry if I am getting the CFR confused with a different group, but I thought that Mr. Romney (alone with other 2008 candidates was involved with this group. As for Mrs. Palin, I hope not, but she was not a candidate when the issue came up in 2008.
