This would be a nigh perfect allegory for the Obama Administration except I don’t think he has realized he needs to go back and read slowly from step #1 just yet.
President Obama has loved to lead with a cattle prod… He keeps poking the Congress forward without having any of his own proposals, it seems. It seems his attitude is “whatever you guys can get passed is great, just get it done… NOW!”
A real leader puts his own ideas in, puts his name on the line, and gets down into the trenches to work things out when he has to.
I think that pretty well sums up the Obama experience. I don’t think he knew what the hell he was getting into. I think he THOUGHT he knew, but he obviously didn’t. I sometimes wonder if he asks himself, “What the hell have I done?” But then I remember that he is a complete narcissist.
