‘Senator’ Boxer Wants You As Her Bitch

Brigadier General Michael Walsh appeared before the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works yesterday to discuss the restoration process of the New Orleans’ levee system due to the damage created by Hurricane Katrina.

There’s still a lot of work to be done. Billions of dollars have been spent and there are no permanent structures in some areas that would prevent such a disaster from occurring again.

Obviously Committee Chairwoman Barbara Boxer has a right to be concerned with this. After all, it’s her committee.

Did she voice her concern?

Absolutely. But what got her most rankled was when she wasn’t addressed properly. It seems that “ma’am” — a term deemed appropriate by a Military Protocol guide — isn’t good enough for the senator. She demands the title “Senator”. So much so that she interrupted his testimony to scold him for the apparent lack of respect.

The liberals are (already) becoming awfully smug in power.  I cannot wait to send them to the unemployment lines in 2010!

    I always thought Boxer was a brunette…..

  2. MWS Says:

    17 second clip.

Just add an 8 second intro and 5 seconds at the end for “I’m….. and I approve this ad.”

  3. Kevin Says:

I always thought she was a black/hispanic woman because of what her Wikipedia picture was:

Lo and behold, I saw her on TV a month ago, and it was only then that I realized she was Jewish and not black or hispanic. She looks drastically different all the time.

When I worked for a small business lobbying firm located near Capitol Hill, I would frequently hear from many (on both the left and right side of the political spectrum) that Boxer was considered the dumbest Senator in Congress. Several different people told me the same story involving her at a trade show in the late ’80s when she went up to Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard and said, “So, what do you guys do for a living?” and she then proceeded to talk endlessly about how wonderful the Soviet health care system was. I never had the chance to meet her, but if I ever do get that opportunity I will most assuredly refer to her as “ma’am.”

Since when do you kick military folk in the head like this? Nasty woman.

  6. Kristofer Lorelli Says:

Shane, Reid has had to remove Boxer from leading the charge on several bills because of her poor performances.

  7. Shane Says:

#6 – Haha. That doesn’t surprise me. Man, how bad do you have to be for HARRY REID (of all people) to believe you are ineffective? That’s even worse than Joe Biden calling someone else “incoherent.”

  8. Michael Bindner Says:

The correct term is Madam Chair. Someone in the protocol office goofed.

  9. FredrikI Says:

She must be really stupi if she belives in the now defunct Soviet health care system….

  10. Doug Forrester Says:

Boxer has been in a position of power for much too long.

If the citizens of California re-elect her they’ll have proven they have earned the mess their state is in.

Beyond revealing Boxer as the wench she is, this clip also bears witness to the culture of victimization that is so intertwined with modern liberalism.

Boxer is so twisted-up with feeling discriminated against, that she’s acting like he has “the power” and is discriminating against her. The reality is that he, like all uniformed members of the service, are reliant upon these snapperheads to approve their funding (and at some level, to approve everything that they do).

I know that the San Francisco sisterhood is used to speaking “truth to power,” but apparently Boxer didn’t get the memo that she is the power. She’s just bullying a public servant who is trying to answer her questions, and do it respectfully. BTW, isn’t Ma’am the appropriate way to address a female superior in the military?.

Or maybe I’m just misunderstimating Boxer. Maybe she knows that slapping around a man in uniform, who’s job and salary is dependent on being deferential to her, plays well with her constiuency. Who knows.
