You have got to be f*&%ing kidding me?
Fifteen Republican members of the Missouri General Assembly have signed on to a state constitutional amendment that appears aimed at advancing the claims of the fringe movement that doubts President Barack Obama’s eligibility to serve as president.
The language is contained in a proposed “voter’s bill of rights,” which would serve “as a defense against corruption, fraud, and tyranny.”
The proposed amendment states:
For candidates who are required by the Constitution of the United States to be natural born citizens, the secretary of state shall request an official copy of the candidate’s birth certificate. Other certifications, such as a certificate of live birth, shall not be accepted. Should any candidate fail to provide an official birth certificate within thirty days of the request by the secretary of state, his or her name shall not be placed on the ballot.
The Birthers, as they’re known, have focused on the State of Hawaii’s refusal to release the original of Obama’s birth certificate, as opposed to official copies; Hawaii state law bars the release of the original.
Attention you Missouri retards… You want me to @*$%ing “Show You” something? Look below:

This is the birth announcement for Barack Hussein Obama that was published in Hawaiian newspapers within days of his birth. This announcement has only been reprinted on the Internet about 1,239,909,968,898,888 times since Obama became a presidential candidate. I believe that it has been posted on this very site at least 10 times.
So unless you morons really think that an international conspiracy to make Obama president began at the moment of his birth almost 50 years ago, SHUT THE F%*^ UP AND STOP MAKING US ALL LOOK LIKE A BUNCH OF RACIST HICKS!!
March 4th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
but its ok to say sarah palin’s kid is not her kid? i wish the MSM would have come down on the Kos kids as hard as you are coming down on these guys.
March 4th, 2009 at 1:52 pm
I – Um, no?! Neither are okay! Jesus! It’s like going “Well, he started it!” Don’t justify a wrong with a wrong.
March 4th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
BINGO Jason T,
Mr. Doerr, with respect, if you are so embarassed by these people, why are you giving them free publicity?
March 4th, 2009 at 1:54 pm
Ohio Joe, do you think that Obama was born in Kenya?
March 4th, 2009 at 1:57 pm
Well, since we’re all about starting baseless conspiracies, I’m going to start claiming that Birthers are actually paid agents of the Obama administration. Their objective is to divert criticism of his far-left and potentially ruinous economic policies, where such criticism could gain traction, by focusing on something that is blatantly and patently absurd.
You may talk a good talk, Birthers, about how you want to hold Obama’s feet to the fire, but we know the truth, you enablers! And if you AREN’T an agent of the Obama administration, care to offer any evidence?
March 4th, 2009 at 1:59 pm
I think the person posting this piece comes across as very unstable, and inappropriately profane.
March 4th, 2009 at 1:59 pm
Jason T.,
So let me see if I understand your logic…
Since the MSM didn’t hold the Kos Kids accountable for the Palin smears, we should just go ahead and let these numbnuts to paint us as a bunch of racist, ignorant, tinfoil hat wearing yocals?
Why on earth should we be so self defeating? What would that solve exactly?
March 4th, 2009 at 2:01 pm
But these copies of announcement could be doctored. Oh yeah. I went there. I would like to go to there (Liz).
March 4th, 2009 at 2:07 pm
To Liz:
You are right about me. I become profane and mentally unstable when Republicans play right into the hands of Ben Smith and Politico, who live each day to serve the Obama Administration.
To Right:
So every single copy of this announcement (in microfilm,/microfiche) in every public library and in the archives of the newspaper it was printed in were doctored by Obama/Democratic operatives? Thanks for taking time from hunting for Bigfoot to comment on my piece.
March 4th, 2009 at 2:07 pm
obama should release his birth certificate, its within his power. and sarah palin should release her medical records fully. why not? sure they shouldnt have to prove something silly, but if someone really didnt believe my wife and i are married, i’d show them our marriage license. why not?
March 4th, 2009 at 2:26 pm
also, as far as the huge volume of posting on this site recently: more is not necessarily better. earlier today we had someone do basically a def poet jam poem on who knows what, and there is a guy that sums up CNN and politico articles… not to be a hater. i am a fan.
March 4th, 2009 at 2:32 pm
Pretty pathetic stuff. Unfortunately, it’s not atypical.
March 4th, 2009 at 2:39 pm
“Ohio Joe, do you think that Obama was born in Kenya?” Most likey not, but then why turn around and give these people attention, if you think they are wrong.
“but if someone really didnt believe my wife and i are married, i’d show them our marriage license. why not?” In some cases, your employer demands it.
March 4th, 2009 at 2:46 pm
Joe:
Please answer me this: Is Barack Obama the legitimate President of the United States, yes or no?
March 4th, 2009 at 2:48 pm
Edit: Please advertise elsewhere or pay for an ad-KWN
March 4th, 2009 at 2:49 pm
These people have the right to propose any amendment they want. So if democrats believe Bush is a war criminal that’s fine, if someone want the President proof tha he is american that’s wrong?
March 4th, 2009 at 2:49 pm
Jason, your comment is incredulous. There is a MAJOR difference in the coverage of Palin’s kid and this. I think it is her kid, but she is dumb ass for not just showing a little evidence, like the President did. I am 23 and don’t know where the hell my birth certificate is. As much as he moved in his younger years, it would be little surprise if his birth certificate is lost. So stop comparing apples to oranges.
March 4th, 2009 at 2:52 pm
You ARE a bunch of racist hicks. Racist, sexist, homophobic, religiously fanatical, greedy and stupid, to boot.
And Jason T:
Keep up the good work, dude. So long as there are people like you around, your party is headed for a long stay in the wilderness.
March 4th, 2009 at 3:14 pm
[...] really, really wish that Michael had phrased his criticisms of the Missouri legistaive initiative differently, because I think that his bombast obscures the [...]
March 4th, 2009 at 3:15 pm
“Please answer me this: Is Barack Obama the legitimate President of the United States, yes or no?”
YES! When have I said he wasn’t???? Just because I call him out on all his non-sense, does not mean he is not MY President. With respect, you seem to have a short memory. I have no disrespected Mr. Obama or any other Democrat President nearly as much as the Left has disrespected OUR fromer President, Mr. Bush. So if you are lecturing me and those on my side of the political spectrum, you are barking up the wrong tree, Sir.
March 4th, 2009 at 3:18 pm
“You ARE a bunch of racist hicks. Racist, sexist, homophobic, religiously fanatical, greedy and stupid, to boot.” Looks like you spend too much time looking in the mirror.
March 4th, 2009 at 3:18 pm
This issue involves much more than where Obama was born, either in Hawaii or Kenya, but it also involves Obama possibly being an Indonesian citizen…since he attended a school there that only Indonesian citizens could attend, and the question of how he traveled to Pakistan in the early 80′s when the US had a national ban on ALL US foreign travel to Pakistan. How then, did he get there? Did he travel on a Indonesian passport? Considering his travels to Pakistan just before he attended Harvard, a question lingers on whether he got into Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard was a foreign citizen.
The people who are filing these suit want one thing: for Obama to produce his BC, release his Medical and school records to show he is qualified to be POTUS per the US Constitution. If were no problem for Obama, he would simply release these records and put there rumors to rest. Instead, he is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars fighting these suit to prevent a court from compelling him to release his records. He, IMHO, is hiding something.
He is the freaking President of the United States. We the People, have a right to demand to know who this man is.
March 4th, 2009 at 3:19 pm
I don’t understand why you would make a post about this Doerr if you didn’t want it to get into the public spotlight.
As far as I am concerned, both of you guys are pretty dumb.
March 4th, 2009 at 3:21 pm
Terry,
And four years ago the theme was that you guys were soulless, unpatriotic, sissies, French, etc
People will be quite surprised when they realize the Republican Party isn’t as bad as you say, and that the Democrats aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. What goes around comes around
March 4th, 2009 at 3:26 pm
“As far as I am concerned, both of you guys are pretty dumb.” Well, when one asks a question, one should at least expect an answer.
Well said MPC; I know some clowns who still think that Mr. Bush was selected by the Supreme Court. I wonder if Mr. Doerr wants to address that issue.
March 4th, 2009 at 4:22 pm
When I look at all the pic’s you’ve got posted on the left side of your web site, all I see are a bunch of racists hicks. Mission Accomplished, guys!
March 4th, 2009 at 4:55 pm
26 – the fact that you see a hick when you look at Mitt Romney or a racist when you look at Bobby Jindal speaks more about your personal ignorance than it does the intelligent, accomplished Americans listed to the left on this site.
March 4th, 2009 at 5:04 pm
Excuse me, but that requires exceedingly good record keeping as a
requirement for office. My “original birth certificate” issued by
the hospital was borrowed by my little brother in an attempt to
obtain a fake ID. It was left at the DMV when the effort failed.
My daughter only has the birth record from the Virginia office of
vital records. That is also the only record I have.
This certainly adds a new meaning to the phrase, the Show Me state. It
is also a violation of the Federal Constitution, in the same way that
attempts at term limits outside an amendment are verboten. States cannot
add extraneous requirements for federal office.
These fools should resign for their attempt to subvert the Constitution of
the US, or for just being idiots.
March 4th, 2009 at 5:06 pm
He was likely eligible to go to school in Indonesia because his step-father
was an Indonesian citizen. That doesn’t make him a non-US citizen.

Mike Huckabee (and myself) may be hicks but neither of us are racist. Huckabee put his job on the line as a young pastor standing up to his congregation so that a young black man could attend his church. As a politician he’s gone out of his way to reach out to African-Americans. He is at ease with African-Americans, if not more so, than Bill Clinton. He’s also been impaled by some in the GOP for giving tax funded benefits to children of illegal immigrants.
Hick doesn’t always equal racist.

I’m far from a conspiracy theorist…..but, I have a couple things to say.
1) There is absolutely no excuse for a front page poster to go off in a tyranical rage like you did. Next time, please show some respect for many of us on here that do not like to see that kind of language, and especially for our grandchildren whom I like to encourage to read what’s going on in the USA political arena.
2) I’ve listened unbiased to a number of issues relating to Obama qualifying, and imho, I think they have at least enough merit to deserve getting the facts out. As has been pointed out, the place of birth is only one of the issues relating to his legitimacy. I say let him be required to produce all relevant data to demonstrate he qualified. What does he have to hide? Probably nothing! If so, prove it? What good does it do to have laws/rules regarding eligibility if no one has to prove they qualify.
March 4th, 2009 at 9:39 pm
You have a point Illinoisguy, at the risk of sounding rough, Mr. Doerr seems to have opened up a can of worms.
March 5th, 2009 at 10:28 pm
I have always said Ms. Palin gave birth to trig. that’s one theory that i have disagreed with others on. Trig is hers. but I don’t think Edwards had the affair with his film maker and fathered that baby. After all, it was reported in the national enquirer

My children – all adopted – are citizens of the United States. 6 of them were born here in the United States. One was born in Mexico, and made a citizen at adoption. All are also citizens of Argentina, as that is where my husband holds dual citizenship from, and we have taken necessary steps to ensure they hold both citizenships. So, 6 of my 7 can’t run for President because they also have Argentine citizenship? (the seventh is disqualifed because she also has Mexican citizenship, having been born in Mexico and raised for the first 4 years of her life). So, holding dual citizenship is not big deal, and many in this country have it. Oddly enough, the US does not recognize secondary citizenship. But the other countries do.
