Funny that we nominated McCain who was a main proponent for this bailout trash, then the conservatives finally start protesting the garbage when it is too late, or maybe I should say after McCain got thrashed in the generals.
McCain won the nomination because barely anyone cared squat about the economy or managing expertise when voting. I’d say that we Americans deserve the most unprepared president in history to deal with the worst economic mess in recent memory.
Oh, by the way, funny picture, sorry I got so serious!
#2. . .Very few if anyone knew back in early to mid 2008 that Autumn would bring a recession and severe economic crisis. “Bailout” wasn’t even part of the national discussion until the end of September. And conservatives didn’t wait until after the election to protest the bailout. If you remember, it was conservatives who voted down the first bailout bill and fought hard to prevent any bailout from coming to fruition.
It’s easy to say, in December, that nominating McCain was a mistake w/r/t the bailout, but in McCain’s defense it wasn’t even an issue when the nomination process was underway.

Then the comic should have McCain face on the cartoon. Pretty good one.

Well said Alaska Jake: It is also easy to say what should have been done when looking back at history.
