Survey of 641 likely voters was conducted October 29. The margin of error is +/- 3.7 percentage points. Results from the poll conducted October 19 are in parentheses.

    Like the Missouri one, this looks about right, but in this one, with the undecideds for McCain. 51-48, something along those lines.

    I still don’t think Obama will take this state when push comes to shove. Virginia probably – but not NC.

    I agree. I think he’ll take Virginia by 1-3%, but McCain will take North Carolina by a similar margin.

    The problem in these two states is Obama grossly outspending McCain. Both of these states went for Dole in 1996, but Clinton wasn’t outspending Dole 8:1. Gore and Kerry could have been competitive also if they had that kind of financial advantage.
