“Survey of 914 registered voters”
It’s not a 7-point race, but it is probably still true that Obama is up by 3 or 4 – meaning very little has changed for quite some time. Let’s see what happens with LV polling after Labor Day.

Actually this is close to what Ras. was showing. McCain had a good day on the 29th, but Obama still had a small bounce from Germany on the weekend and it shows in this poll.
No need to worry.

It’s still a close race. McCain will win in the end.

It’s inevitable that McCain will take the lead come this fall. Obama has had chance after chance and the liberal media behind him to blow this thing wide open, but he still can’t reach 50%!!

CNN –
If CNN has Obama up by 7 – he must be down by 7!

Bob: It’s not that Obama did anything in Germany, it’s that the media that is following him is very socialist. Socialism means big government & big government means more taxes and more taxes mean less jobs and less jobs means…

Looks Like McCain is really considering running off a cliff:

There is no way I could support that ticket. If McCain tries to put him on, we need to look into ways to replace McCain as the nominee. A move like that, particularly for the reasons that the article mentions, would cause me to lose any support I’ve developed for J-Mac.
If John McCain is truly setting out to change the party, to diminish the role of Conservatives, to move the party drastically to the left, I don’t want any part of it…

ACT – I second that motion! The convention will not tolerate a Lieberman VP.

Obama made it back in the 50′s. Now he just needs to keep it going. It won’t be a runaway election, but Obama will win. H. Clinton is going to be campaigning for him as soon as Congress closes for break. That will make a difference and he is hitting the battleground states hard right now and that will move numbers upward as well.
Obama really needs to help the voters realize the truth about offshore drilling. Over 60 percent believe they will get immediate relief according to a survey done recently. Somehow they are not listening to the rest of the message – NOT for 8-10 years. What is McCain going to offer in the meantime? This is why Obama will win. He UNDERSTANDS that offshore drilling isn’t the whole answer. He would approve offshore drilling AFTER other alternative energy resources have been utilized.

After Obama’s whirlwind overseas trip … he said:
“In terms of me governing, being an effective president, that that trip was helpful, because I think I’ve established relationships and a certain bond of trust with key leaders around the world who have taken measure of my positions and how I operate and I think can come away with some confidence that this is somebody I can deal with.”
And … here is what he actually did on his trip … you decide if these 9 days of photo ops were enough to establish Obama as a trusted world leader …

By a 51 to 40 percent margin, voters think Barack Obama would do a better job handling the issue of high gas prices than John McCain.
Do a majority of Americans want higher gas prices?!
In order for McCain to win in November, it is imperative that he work night and day to educate the evidently ignorant American people. These numbers should be 3-to-1 in McCain’s favor; comparable to his advantage over Obama on who’s more qualified to be Commander in Chief.

I don’t think either of the candidates running in this election are worth going out to vote for.
O’bama is arrogant & has no experience & McCain is too much a puppet of the party. The few good
candidates never had a chance in this election. In the beginning there were a couple of good choices
in each party. But it didn’t take the media long to dump them. I would like to see the media keep
their opinions to themselves and just report the news.

#4 and all of the people on here. The debates have not come yet. I do not want a Kennedy Nixon rerun here. Nixon had the knowlege, experience yada yada. However he appeared stiff or old…..
McCain needs to to a Mock debate with his staff because that turned the 1960 election around. In a close race it could also turn this one around. We can’t take anything for granted or assume he will pull ahead. They have to take percautions to help him to win.

New poll in CA shows a dramatic shift in polls regarding offshore drilling .
Now 51% agree … this will soon hit 60% …
Seems even CA does not want us dependent on foreign oil …
Obama is on the wrong side again ..
