Purely speculating, what happens to the poll if Giuliani gets knock out of first? Does any lost support get split evenly, or does say McCain (who seems heir to the independents and moderates) become the frontrunner?

This is looking good for Rudy!

Feltcher,
I think a better question, would be:
What happens if Romney gets knock out of first in Iowa?
Can you say:
Giuliani/Huckabee in 08

Mitt WILL win Iowa…the Huck-a-Bust is coming

Nah, Huck will win Iowa. Mitt will win NH. McCain and Fred will drop out and it will be a Mitt-Huck-Rudy fight to the very end.

If Rudy can’t win an early state, his campaign will be effectively over on January 20th.

A Mitt vs. Huck matchup would be good for Mitt. The preacher’s stump only plays well in a limited number of states, and think even Huckabee knows this. Huck has to win Iowa to be relevant because he will lose NH, Michigan, Nevada, etc.

Huckabee is the only candidate who has not been vetted. So, yes, Huck-a-bust is coming!
